Two thousand people have been screened under a special free medical outreach programme organised by the Champion Divine Clinic in Accra.
The people were screened for Malaria, eye and ear problems, Hepatitis B and other liver diseases amongst others.
Speaking to Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong, Chief Executive of the Clinic said the programme which started on December 15, last year, was part of the Clinic's social responsibility package.
He said the programme would be concluded in December, this year and expressed the hope that 100,000 people would have been screened by the date.
The Clinic which was opened in 2004, had won many international awards for the promotion of herbal medicine in the country.
He said the awards included the 'African Alternative Herbal Clinic for 2008','Dr Nkrumah Africa Leadership Award' and the 'West Africa Nobles International Awards'.
Dr. Frimpong said the Clinic had developed an immune booster which had been successfully tested on 200 patients.
