The National Health Insurance Authority, NHIA, says serious efforts are being made to extend the capitation policy to three other regions.
Speaking to Radio Ghana in reaction to concerns expressed by the MP for Nhyiasu, Dr. Richard Anane, the Communication Manager of the NHIA, Selorm Adonu, was optimistic that the whole of Ghana will be covered by the end of the year.
Mr. Adonu rejected claims that the NHIA is discriminatory, adding that the capitation is a pilot project and could have started in any region.
