Hundreds of school girls and women gathered at the Zimmerman Presbyterian Chapel in Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region for an empowerment programme as regards menstrual hygiene.
The programme, put together by non-governmental organisation Inspire to Rise in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and the Lower Manya Krobo District Assembly, was to mark Menstrual Hygiene Day on Monday, May 28.
The theme for the programme was ‘Empowering Women and Girls Through Menstrual Hygiene Management’.
The Special Guest was the Paramount Queenmother for Manya Klo Traditional Area, Nana Aplam II.
