Strange millipedes have invaded some farming communities in the Sefwi Juaboso District of the Western Region.
Residents of Sefwi Bonsu Nkwanta, Proso and Addae Krom in the Juaboso District say the situation is alarming.
According to them, sixty (60) communities have so far been affected and are currently being tormented by these millipedes.
“Two children accidentally chewed some of these insects and they fell seriously sick. It is quite alarming; once you kill them in less than 10 minutes you see them multiplying and you see them coming again,” a resident said.
The residents said the authorities intervened a month ago and cleared the insects but they have staged a massive return, appearing in their bedrooms, kitchens and their environs.
They are therefore calling on government to intervene.
