Osei Kwame Despite, Chief Executive of the Despite Group of Companies and Host of Ghana’s leading morning show Peace FM’s 'kokrokoo', Kwami Sefa Kayi are part of distinguishable awardees at this year’s Ghana’s Most Influential (GMI) Awards ceremony.
Despite and Kwami Sefa Kayi placed 17th and 47th respectively in the yearly rankings by E.TV Ghana, Organizers of the GMI Awards.
Osei Kwame Despite made the list due to his enormous contributions as an entrepreneur.
He owns media conglomerates comprising Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM, Hello FM and United Television (UTV). He further owns a Food Processing Factory producing This Way Chocolate Drink, NEAT Fufu and other NEAT food products.
Among his franchise is a Microfinance Company 'Best Point Savings and Loans'.
The 6th edition of the award ceremony is slated for Thursday, June 30 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. In attendance to the function will be notable sports personalities, entrepreneurs, entertainment personalities and media practitioners, the clergy and politicians among others.
Pastor Mensa Otabil of the International Central Gospel Church who came first on the GMI list for the second time, investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, technology innovator Bright Simons, Patrick Awuah of Ashesi University, host of the CITI Breakfast Show, Bernard Avle will also be awarded.
These men have contributed immensely to the growth of the nation.
Ghana’s Most Influential Awards is aimed at recognizing and celebrating the top 100 Most Influential Ghanaian personalities as voted by the general public.
