A Kumasi High Court 5 on Thursday (today) has granted bail to eight members of the pro-NPP vigilante group, "Delta Force", who were alleged to have raided a circuit court in Kumasi to free 13 of their members.
Each of them is to execute a bail bond of GHC10,000.00
Furthermore, they are to report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service every Wednesday.
Background
Members of "Delta Force" had previously stormed the Regional Coordinating Council and forcibly ejected Mr. Agyei because he is not a native of the Ashanti Region. It took the timely intervention of the police to save the situation and restore law and order.
The angry men had earlier destroyed some office equipment in their bid to drive out Mr Agyei.
Their action was roundly condemned by a large section of the public who called for their arrest. Less than 24 hours after the act, the leader of the group Kwadwo Bamba was arrested by the Police.
Other members were subsequently arrested and charged for the offence of conspiracy to assault and assaulting a public officer and causing unlawful damage.
The presiding judge had earlier ruled that the suspects be remanded to appear before court on April 20, 2017.

Kan dapaah should be removed before he turns Ghana into a kokain transit joint like he did during kufuor's time. He is a top ranking koke dealer. Apart from that ministry he doesn't like any other ministry because that is the best place to push. Kan is a pusher. He has no moral right to kall others kriminals
You throw your own people into jail when Ibrahim mahama is enjoying stollen money freee. If Ibrahim mahama is not put before court I will personally organize a demonstration against Akufu Addo.
That was the arrangement, they were told the case will see no light, so this is no news. Time will tell.
I am quite flabbergasted by the manner in which most NPP sympathizers always claim NDC activists and sympathizers are illiterates, and therefore do not read. As far as I am concerned there are illiterates in both NDC and NPP respectively. Those who always want to denigrate others simply because they have divergent views should stop that and go straight to the point when they are commenting on issues. Whether NDC or NPP, we all Ghanaians. When there is a natural disaster in Ghana, it would not select the educated from the illiterates neither would it select NPP members from NDC members. Everyone would be at risk, therefore the some these unnecessary provocations should stop, whether it's coming from NDC or NPP sympathizers. Insults does not put food on anyone's table, it always portray the kind of mindset we have.
Go ahead. Continue to court these ***barred word*** groups. When the chicken comes home to roost we shall see. U jailed people who made a comment on radio but you could not jail people who attacked a judge and freed thugs. Does this really make sense. Law inverted
You just confirmed what the first comment said " They (NDC) don't know anything in book..." How can one being granted bail with a bond of GhC 100K be termed as FREEED? In any case these 8 Guys are suspects and not proven that they were among the court wreckers. I need not to speak any further on Law Terms as it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that NDC can't even read to understand. Yes, Justice would be served under Nana, and he won't use the security agency as Police to beat and pluck out innocent demonstrators eyes as Opana did.
IF THIS DECISION ABOUT THE COURT FREEING POTENTIAL NATION WRECKERS SUCH AS DELTA FORCE UNIT OF THE NPP WERE TO BE MADE BY THE COURT UNDER PRESIDENT MAMAHAMA RULE I CAN IMAGINE WHAT GHANA WOULD HAVE BEEN LIKE. THANK GOD THE REAR OWNERS AND THE ROYALS ARE IN POWER SO EVERYBODY IS OKAY. I HOPE THE PEOPLE WITH LARGE VOICE ARE STILL ALIVE AND THEY ARE SEEING EVERYTHING LIFE. I PRAY THE COURT WILL GIVE US FAIR AND EQUAL JUSTICE REGARDLESS OF YOUR TRIBE OR POLITICAL AFFILIATION IN THE DISPENSATION OF JUSTICE IN GHANA. IF THE COURT FAIL TO DO THIS THEN WE ARE SITTING ON A TIME BOMB
Akufo-Addo must personally ensure that telecom companies assign only public ip addresses to cell phones, other hosts and not private ip addresses. We don't want any network address translation (NAT) on the public networks. Akufo-Addo must also ensure that telecom companies and isps offer ipv6 as an option to all customers across the country.
Weldone for starting the insult on NDC. This is your intelligence
As usual, the empty headed NDC people will soon come & insult. They don't know anything in book so that is all they can do best. They will start from Nana Addo, then to other members of NPP & finally ends on our judges.
