Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Rachel Appoh has donated items worth GHC12,000 to nursing mothers at the Winneba Trauma Hospital on Easter Sunday.
The items included; washing powder, clothes, washing bowls, mosquito nets and babies outfit.
The former Deputy Gender Minister in an interview with Peacefmonline.com says the donation is part of her social responsibility to the community.
According to her, she is keen on putting smiles on the faces of nursing mothers after advising them on good breastfeeding.
She also advised the nursing mothers to adhere strictly to medical advice, observe the six months exclusive breastfeeding and regularly attend hospital for post natal care.
About 40 fresh mothers who benefited from Rachel Appoh’s gesture were grateful.
The Medical Director in charge of the Trauma Hospital, Dr. George Kwame Pra thanked her and the Obaa Sima Foundation for the support.

Oh what cute kids! Thank God ndc is not in power to make these beautiful kids life miserable. Thank God they will enjoy the free SHS for a better life and good service to God and country. Rachel Appoh anyway, Thank you for that support but we will appreciate it if you pay for their bills since your party scraped off the free maternal care brought about by good governance led by President JAK.
Keep it up!! 'Opposition is sweet', to quote Baba Jamal. You have time away from your troublesome constituents to donate to the general good of mankind. Good job!!
Rachel, go and look for a job and make yourself useful to society. Apart from national service plus a year contract at your place of service plus four months at KAMA industries as a junior staff, you have not done any other work. Politics is not a full time job like you clowns in NDC think, go and get a real job. And now that the electrotal system will be cleaned up, you in particular will not be getting near any seat any time soon, if ever.
Say it again TRUTH. The campaign has started too early oo since when madam?
Well done Rachel keep it up, i advise you ream up with your elder sister the incumbent MP Hon Naana Eyiah for the good of Gomoa Central folks. ayekoo
