Minister of Defence who doubles as the member of Parliament for Bimbilla, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul has appealed to the general public to donate to the government trust fund to support the family and Children of the murdered captain, now General Maxwell Adam Mahama.
Speaking on okay fm's Ade Akye Abia Programme, Tuesday, the defence minister who joined the President to visit the family during the one week celebration of the late General Maxwell Adam Mahama, noted that "Government will do everything possible to support to bring the Perpetrators to book".
He also the commended the military for the restraint exhibited adding, they have received commendation across the globe.
TRUST FUND
The government has announced the setting up of a memorial Trust Fund with a seed money of GH¢500,000 to support the education of the children of MAJOR MAXWELL ADAM MAHAMA who was killed in the line of duty at Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region.
President Akufo-Addo announced the package when he visited the family on Monday [June 5], as it observed a week of the military man’s passing.
According to the president, the fund is specifically to take care of Major Mahama’s wife and two children.
He also pledged a personal donation of GH¢50,000 to the fund, which will have as part of its trustees Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul, and former government statistician, Grace Bediako.
