The General Secretary of Unemployed Private Trainee Nurses, Emmanuel Nanor says it will be prudent for government to ensure their postings to various hospitals to work than to concentrate on its ‘One- district one-factory’ policy.
To him, the unemployed private nurses will not benefit from the policy if implemented since their line of work has been ignored by government.
“How are we going to benefit from this 'one-district one-factory' project? Are we going to plant tomatoes as nurses?” he asked in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
The unemployed private nurses described as improper, government’s decision to prioritize the employment of nurses trained in public institutions over them.
According to the group made up of over three thousand qualified nurses from accredited private Nursing Training Schools, government’s continuous preferential treatment defeats the constitutional provision of equal opportunity for all citizens.
They argue that they are equally qualified to be recruited by the government to serve in various Public Health Institutions.
They however called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to “address our issue or we will besiege the Flagstaff House and the Ministry. We are giving government five working days to address our concern.”

Maybe its time for the University Graduates to start demonstrating for employment too. What kind of ***barred word*** is this?
Leave these people to make noise .who will not like to go to the government institutions to enjoy subsidy.you didn't pass wassce u want to go to school.they should go back and tell the private institutions the schooled in to get them hospital
this is shared ***barred word***. Is this the level Ghanaians have gotten to?
government cant employ persons from the private institution when the public institutions are yet to be posted. compel private hospitals and clinics to employ qualified nurses. you could even form agencies for the purpose.
U see..the thing is...government should stop this mass posting.. all in the name of bonding...even some of our nurses from our government institutions head die too much... there is a probabilty that some of this private nurses are much better than those from our governmnt institutions... release forms for qualified nurses..interview them and select the best...we r talking about the lives of humans..
Are these nurses really serious? Government should stop the one-district one factory that would employ more than the 3000 of you to concentrate on your selfish course. Did the government asked you to go to the private nurses training colleges? It is only in Ghana that every Tom ***barred word*** and Harry thinks that the government MUST employ them. What about the private hospitals and clinics? Who would be next to demand employment from the government as a RIGHT enshrined in the constitution? Every product of the numerous tertiary institutions? And then all SSS graduates and then the JSS products? Oh Ghana , we are indeed backward mentally. I hope they can sleep at the entrance of the Flagstaff House forever. These nurses are just ASSHOLES.
YOU SEE, THEY PUSH PEOPLE AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL YOU VOMIT ON THEM.IF ONE DISTRICT ONE FACTORY IS NOT IMPORTANT, THEN, THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT EMPLOY THOSE WHO WERE ADMITTED INTO THESE PRIVATE NURSES' COLLEGES WITH SOME GRADES LIKE 24-30. WHEN DID YOU COMPLETE YOUR PRIVATE COLLEGES? WHY DIDN'T YOU GO TO PUBLIC NURSES' COLLEGES? GIVE US A BREAK, YOU DONT EVEN FEEL SHY WITH YOUR POOR SSSCE/WASSCE RESULTS.
My dear i agree perfectly with u ooo, instead of them bettering their results to atleast go do certificate course at the public sector they turn to take those results to the private sector and will end up worrying the government. These private nurses must only be considered when there are more vacants and shouldn't enjoy any allowance either. They are those who end up giving over dosages to patients and killing innocent souls at the end. Even if we put their results aside and decide to ask simple questions on what they've learnt as nurses so far still they wont pass to get postings cos most of them dont even know how to check temperature to talk of setting line for a drip....
Yess he promised and is delivering, NDC left bunch backlocks and gradually they have been posted so what u should think of telling these nurses is to sit somewhere for the govt to post the public people first cos no one told them to go to private nursing. I think there should be a law for those private nurses to look for their own job or their schools should find ways of giving them jobs for the govt to provide on the public nurses and teacher training colleges
i wonder the number of people who will be employed in each factory self? i wish these factories are dont today to see how it will go. those who did not go to school n u r unemployed just count urselfs out. u promised these nurses heaven during campaign Mr president dont forget
