Dr Ralf Wolfgang Branksiepe, the Deputy Defence Minister of Germany has arrived in Ghana for a two-day working visit to strengthen German-Ghanaian bilateral cooperation in the fields of Defence and Security.
Dr Branksiepe on Monday visited Burma Camp in Accra and was received by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal, Maxwell Mantsebi-Tei Nagai and Rear Admiral Peter Kofi Faidoo, Chief of Naval Staff, as well as other Senior Military Officers.
Other activities lined for the Minister include, a Courtesy call on Defence Minister, Meeting with the German Armed Forces Technical Assistance Group (GAFTAF) and a visit to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.
He would also visit the Multi-national Maritime Coordination Centre and the GIZ: German Migration Centre project, as well as the German Embassy.
The German Deputy Defence Minister is also the Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Defence.
Four officials, including the Desk Officer for West Africa and the Defence attaché to Ghana accompanied the German Deputy Defence Minister.
