A man of God has described as prophetic the site chosen for the controversial 5,000-seater National Cathedral at ridge in Accra.
Apostle Dr. Amoako Atta, founder and leader of the Lord’s Parliament maintained that, God had chosen that land even before President Akufo-Addo made that promise.
Government has faced criticisms over its decision to build a temple for God. A former Youth Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), James Kwabena Bomfeh also known as Kabila has sued government in court.
Kabila wants the Supreme Court to restrain government or any of its representatives “from being involved in or taking any steps towards the construction of the Ghana National Cathedral, including the demolition of residences of justices of the Superior Courts.”
The issue has become murkier following government’s decision to demolish buildings including residences of judges to make way for the construction of a national cathedral has been criticized as inappropriate.
The critics questioned the rationale behind pulling down all buildings [sited] from the Ridge Circle to the Scholarship Secretariat, the Judicial Training Institute at East Ridge, the passport office and other structures and about ten six-bedroom bungalows built by the Judicial Service to house Court of Appeal Judges.
These buildings are located in prime areas in Accra and in the case of the judges were built only five years ago.
But speaking on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Apostle Dr. Amoako Atta said those complaining are ill-informed.
He asked persons opposed to the construction of a National Cathedral not waste their energies campaigning against the project as the House of Worship will be built at all cost.
The man of God bemoaned how no one complained when 150 people were relocated to make way for the National mosque in Nima yet are up in arm with government on its decision to build a national cathedral.
Apostle Dr. Amoako Atta urged all Christians to support government honour God for a prosperous future for Ghana.

Ghana is known as Christian nation right, if so why is it difficult for us as christian nation to build temple for our God.If you go to Islamic nations they build mosque for their God without any complains, Ghanaians, we talk too much
These are all nonnsensee Prophets we have in Ghana. Did He know God? Then they should build that cathedral in every region, Noonsennse pastors and prophets. Shaamee on to you all
Hahaha, it's now about Muslims and not about God. Everything in Ghana is in hands Christians. Muslims have never complained. Anyway, that mosque is not a National Mosque and also the Land is a replacement of land taken by Government from Muslim Mosque around the Rawlins Park. Since independence Christians have been in charge.
God doesn't cathedral. He needs righteous hearts to worship Him. God will never reveal to anyone to build a cathedral let alone choosing a particular place. leave God out of this materialistic approach.
