President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will complete his 14-day self-isolation today, Saturday, July 18, 2020.
The president went on self-isolation on Saturday, July 4 after “at least one person within his close circle tested positive for Covid-19 [on July 4, 2020]”.
He tested negative after his first samples were taken.
Since then, government has been silent on subsequent tests of the president’s.
But he has continued official duties from the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House, where he has spent the past 14 days.
He chaired the country’s first virtual cabinet meeting last Tuesday. It was the 80th cabinet meeting.
He had also held virtual meetings with other groups including the Communications Advisory Team of his campaign.
The Minister of Information had told journalists on Tuesday, July 9 that President Akufo-Addo was “hale and hearty” and employing telephone and other technologies to conduct government business.
“The President is following up on Covid-19 response plan and other broader 2020 workplan of his administration,” Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated.
President Akufo-Addo himself has said he has been busy while in self-isolation, reading through the memoranda and papers he did not have time to go through.
“All the memoranda and papers I have not read, I am reading them now. I am finding myself extremely busy.”

The man had been in isolation since COVID19 arrived. It was only PR gimmicks he was doing. He will still continue in isolation. Sleeping and reading speeches have always been his job.
We thank God for the life of the Preso . NPP is performing very well and we thank the leadership . On the other hand NPP is pushing division and as a country it is not good . We are getting Npp JUDGES and Ndc JUDGES , Npp soldiers and Ndc soldier, Npp police and Ndc police ,Npp workers and Ndc workers . I think Ghana waist a lot of resources .If these can be checked we will be better than Rwanda . We channel some to take care of autism children . If can be taken once no matter the terms . If judicial can be independent and chose the chief justice and and also IGP. If those in the security selected base on professionalism .If we are one we can achieve a lot.
You had a whole mansion to self-isolate in with all the attendant luxuries ,paid for by the tax-payers' money! Yet you unleashed a deadly enemy on the majority of Ghanaians who can't even afford balanced diet to boost their immune systems by the dangerous decisions you took. Look at what happened at the NPP primaries and look at what is happening at registration centers! Immediately after those two decisions: organizing NPP primaries without any regard for social-distancing and and commencing voters' registration in same manner as the primaries our case count has now shot up to 26k! You mean you could actually gamble with the lives of Ghanaians just to stay in power despite the numerous opposition and warnings from the various CSOs? You don't deserve another term!
We thank God for the life of the PRESIDENT
The person who is President of our great nation when Ghana is 66years is very very crucial. The number 6 is the number of man and double 6 means double blessings when God approves of you but a curse if God disapproves of you or doesn't recognise you. Scripturally and Prophetically, the number 6 can also mean PURIFICATION, LEADING TO FULL AND COMPLETE RECOVERY or DECEPTION, LEADING TO COMPLETE SHAMBLES AND TOTAL DISASTER. The latter is dangerous. The 2 main PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES; President Nana Akufo Addo of NPP and former president John Dramani Mahama of NDC, one of them and his team will lead Ghana to CROSS UNDERDEVELOPMENT under God's GUIDANCE and DIRECTION while the other will TAKE GHANA BACK TO THE STONE AGE if Ghanaians make the sad mistake and vote for the wrong person. Ghanaians should never joke with the upcoming elections, it is a defining moment for the country's development, ALL JOKES ASIDE.
The session will spent in UGMC ICU.
