Finally, the people of Asankragwa have in unison, given the Nana Anyani Buadoom III a befitting burial. Apparent tension between two separate clans had prevented the late chief from being given a state burial after his death.
The issue was of national interest as the Minister for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs, Dr. Henry Seidu Daannaa, once addressed the Western Region House of Chiefs and advised them “to get rid of Chieftaincy disputes in the country”.

Until his final burial which cements his place in history as a properly installed chief, Hon. Daannaa made it known to the chiefs that “the Ministry is worried about reports reaching it about Nana Buadoom III of Asankragua in the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area in the Western Region.”
During the mass of Christian burial for the late Nana Anyani Buadoom III who was known in his private life as Mr. John Seth Ntiako Snr., Rev. Mgr. Francis Yaw Tawiah noted that the late chief manifested the wonderful work of God to men. The Parish Priest at Apowa, a residential town in the Western region of Ghana continued that out of the 92 years Nana Anyani Buadoom III lived on earth, he used 62 years to serve his people.
“He was endowed with amazing stamina which enabled him to work assiduously with his elders to transform the town which was a village to a prosperous town”, he said.
The wonderful contributions of the late chief according to the priest were achieved through the contributions of men like “Papa Kofi Dwaa, Papa Totwene, Papa Akyerem, Papa Kojo Essah, Papa Kwabina Tawia, Papa Mesu Gyato, Nana Addai and Papa James Buah”.
The collaboration with the above noble men led to the establishment of a secondary school in the area, magistrate court, police station, hospital, nursing and Midwifery College among other institution at Asankragwa.

Known to be the first chief to host the first contingent of American Peace Corps in Ghana, Nana Anyani Buadoom III assisted the youth under his jurisdiction to acquire various skills in education and business industry, Rev. Mgr. Francis Yaw Tawiah added.
“Nana is fondly remembered as the chief who visited the homes of his subjects to encourage their children to go school and visit the sick to find out how they are doing”, he solemnly said.
To safeguard the peace of Asankragwa, the priest stated that Nana, through his exceptional intrepidity, always moved forward to calm the storm.
“If at times he showed impatient, this was to further the course of truth, justice and fair play”, the reverend father recounted.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Nana Anyani Boadum, who is the founder of Jesus Generation Ministries, also shared fond memories about his late father. He firstly advised Ghanaians not to take so much pleasure in litigations and noted that it was through the effort of his late dad that Jesus Generation Ministries is felt across the entire Western Region. He commended the organizers of the event for ensuring the town was kept clean before and after the event.
A portion of his tribute to the late chief read: “To the glory of God, from Asankrangwa, the vibrancy if Jesus Generation Ministries is felt across the entire Western Region.
This is the epitah by which you shall be remembered by the Jesus Generation Ministries. Nana thank you for hosting us. May the Holy Angels of God guide you to his Presence”.
The Chief mourner for the event was Tɛtrɛtɛ Okuamoah Sekyim II, who is the Omanhene of Wasa Amenfi Traditional Area and the ceremony attracted thousands of people from all walks of life to grace the event. There were attendees from Australia, America, UK, Germany, other European and West African countries coming to pay their last respect to the late chief.
