The founding President of think tank, IMANI Africa, has charged VOKACOM, developers of the AsaaseGPS, which was later transformed into Ghana Post GPS to be used for Ghana’s digital addressing system.
Some Information Technology (IT) experts who have reviewed the application available on various mobile operating systems have given poor ratings of the app.
Mr Cudjoe emphasised in a Facebook post on his wall on Saturday, October 21 that the developers “must rectify what industry watchers have described as ‘amateurish’ and an embarrassment to technology and innovation”.
Mr Cudjoe, who suggested that the application is not novel as suggested, he pointed out that: "Copying is not so hard. Copying to perfection is adding value. The Ghana Post app did the opposite.”
He was of the view that the country “shouldn't hurry our President to be launching products that have not been properly verified” adding, “I hope the owners of the app make amends and apologise to the President".

Please let us allowed Ghana to work again. Let stopped the importation of "Aboboya" tricycle loaders and allow Kantanka motors and other local car manufacturing shops to flourish. The youth needs such work and experience to make our nation strong on the continent and beyond.. We should not kill our own companies for the foreign goods.. Ghanaians can do better if given the support... Neoplan Ghana is just one good example. Kantanka motors can do all the V8 cross country vehicles our people and government need... Hardly you can find Japanese made cars in South Korea although geographically they are close. In all things Ghana first..
This President is in a hurry to launch anything to deceive the public. He is just an attention seeker / propaganda president. Even Uber taxi have better GPS services in Ghana today.
Talking of copying, we know the Koreans started car manufacturing by copying. Franklin should come and tell us that the copied cars manufactured then were better than what they are doing today because they copied "perfectly" or they were original. What is clearly the difference between Ghana and Korea is that Korea has more "imperfect copyiers" who would rather start something imperfect than to wait forever for nothing perfect. Ghana on the other hand is full of Mr Do Nothing tangible-talkative-critical of everything-media owls like Franklin who are always on air looking to finish the "imperfect copyiers" before they could even have the chance to perfect it. Franklin should spare us from this initiative killing venom of his. We can no longer wait for "Perfect Nothings" The same "media OWLS" question what Ghana has to show after 60 years. Now we “shouldn't hurry our President to be launching products that have not been properly verified” adding, “I hope the owners of the app make amends and apologise to the President". somebody should tell me what is constructive about this criticism. I encourage everyone to read Bishop Dag Heward-Mill's book titled "Those Who Accuse You" and you will understand what people like Franklin are doing to Ghana with such destructive and initiative killing criticisms. By the way my English is not perfect.

@Joejoe;You are a liar!! Unless you distort the information you will never receive the same coordinates for your digital address.Eiiiiii Franklin you again?Because it is not one of your protege who secured the contract you will find everything wrong with it.Of all your years of talking what have you and your so called think tank contributed tangibly to the economic of Ghana? This is a made in Ghana app and it is what will be used and any loopholes so detected will be fixed.Ghanaians should learn to appreciate their own if "their own" is achieved through hard work
People talk too much!! Aahhhh! This is how Windows 7 and Windows 10 started.....as MS-DOS!! It looked so dirty at those times, but it was well received and built upon to become what we see today as Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10! How much did Microsoft buy MS-DOS in those times from IBM..?? Ghanaians with FAKE IT degrees should stop the propaganda. IF they knew it was available for free or could be developed and deployed in Ghana at a lesser cost, what prevented them from doing it 10 years Ago..????? FAKE GHANAIAN IT 'EXPERTS' parading around....! Ghanaians like it, we will build on it and it'll become homegrown. It is the same way, CHINA, ISRAEL, JAPAN, NORTH KOREA all started....from amateurish to professional...!!!
Hahahaha. bawumia again. The professed wiz kid but he knows nothing. He has been ***barred word*** by these small boys. From day 1, NPP has beend a copy cat govt, from plagiarized speech to stealing of projects. Disgrace has found these people
Stop been Pretentious Mr. Cudjoe, this is broad day robbery of the Ghanaian Tax payer. This is corruption in the glare of the public. Patapa president, Talkative Bawumia have created a consortium of create, loot and share. Shame unto all the deceptive think tanks because they are the pocket of NPP. God is watching. Should it have been Former President Mahama, they will call it corruption but the Patapa president own is What? I leave it to the judgement of discerning Ghanaians.
Just making a general Statement and not pointing to short-comings or defects of the APP is very unusual of IMANI making a loose criticism. That notwithstanding, I hold IMANI in high esteem for its informed and constructive contributions to critical issues. But this one, i think is below Standards of a Think Tank and hope IMANI would come again on this issue. I pray that NDC- Propagandists would not feed on it to discourage this bold policy. I guess, there is room for improvement, if any at all, the developers would very much appreciate and acknwoledge constructive contribution.
GHANAIANS ARE NOT PROUD OF THEIR OWN, FRANKLIN CUDJOE, ROME WASN'T BUILT WITHIN A TWINCKLED OF AN EYE, IT WAS BY THESE SAME SMALL SMALL MEANS THAT HAS GOTTEN THESE DEVELOPED NATIONS WHERE THEY ARE. I GUESSED YOU EQUALLY HAD A HUGE EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS POLICY BUT AS THINK-TANK, SUGGEST WAYS OUT OF PROBLEMS RATHER THAN JUST CRITICING AND LEAVING IT THERE.GHANA IS STEADILY PROGRESSING AND PEOPLE LIKE CAN EITHER BE PART OR BE LEFT BEHIND
