A young man, believed to be in his 30s, has been arrested after a hot chase by the police after he attempted to withdraw money at the Faanofa branch of the Societe General Bank.
The man, name unknown, had gone to the bank Thursday morning to withdraw money when he suddenly rushed out of the bank and took to his heels.
After frantic shouts for support from one of the security officers on duty, some onlookers rushed to his aid to apprehend the suspect.
Bank officials are tight-lipped on the issue but myjoyonline.com gathers he had been on the wanted list of the bank before his arrest.
The neatly dressed man, who wore a blue-black suit and trousers with a tie to match, had walked into the bank to withdraw money from an account that the bank had been red-flagged.

Ghana remains a very primitive society and system. There is lots of human waste and idleness all over the place. Policing arresting a criminal suspect shouldn't draw any crowd and folks trouping after police car
Good one! Good bust! This should be the portion of these illiterate crooks who think they can use technology to defraud others. The suit sef no dey fit am! Ne na3n s3 bankyi dua!
"had walked into the bank to withdraw money from an account that the bank had been red-flagged." Go back to school to learn basic grammar. You're a disgrace to Ghannaian journalists.
