A Toyota Landcruiser v8 with registration number GW 1897 – 17 said to belong to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South has been involved in a head-on collision with an Opel Cadet vehicle with registration number GW 1139 – Y claiming the lives of some occupants.
The incident, according to Police sources, happened, Sunday evening, in a sharp curve on the Mahinso-Atuahene stretch of the Sunyani road in the Brong Ahafo Region.
All six (6) who were in the Opel Cadet are reported dead.
Four (4), according to the Police, died on the spot with the two others said to have lost their lives, Monday morning at the Hwidiem Hospital where they were taken for medical treatment.
Reports say four others who were onboard the MP’s Toyota Landcruiser v8 sustained various degrees of injuries but have since been treated and discharged.
The MP was not on board the vehicle at the time of the accident.
According to Police sources, all the six (6) who were onboard the Opel Cadet vehicle were returning from a funeral from a town called Akyerensua and were heading towards Asutotroso when they met their untimely death.
The MP’s v8 was also returning from Agona Asamang when the two vehicles got involved in the head-on collision.
Police sources say, four (4) of the deceased are from one family house.

Look, those with v8's should learn how to ply our roads wisely else we will find other means to take their lives if not on the road wat nonnnnnsense. They drive as if the road belong to them without police escort. One kept on flashing light behind me on the motor way though i was using the outer lane jx last night are they stupppid??. May the soul of the dead rest in peace.
