Suspect in the kidnapping of three girls in the Western region has been assaulted in court. Samuel Udoetuk Wills was harrassed and beaten inside the Takoradi Magistrate court and even more, while exiting the court. In an aatempt to free himself from the angry residents, he abandoned his sandals in court. The bare-footed suspect entered the police vehicle panicky and fearful.
This is the fifth court hearing into the protracted saga of three missing girls whose kidnapping was allegedly masterminded by the Nigerian, Samuel Udoetuk Wills.
The court room was overflowing as residents flocked to the storey-building housing the court. A room that could hold not more than 60 was packed, others stood along the staircase and around the court building.
The tension was palpable. Before His Worship, Michael Ampadu would appear to start proceedings, Udoetuk was attacked. Mother of Ruth Quayeson, whose daughter went missing on December 4, 2018, rushed to confront the suspect, hurling insults and demanding her ward.
This was the first time Ruth’s mother had appeared in court since proceedings began.
Father of Priscilla Bentum who went missing on August 12, 2018 followed up behind the suspect and knocked him on the head. The suspect looked calm, hang his head before proceedings and spotted a reddish left eye.
The court heard, Samuel Udoetuk Wills led the police to arrest a suspect named Koda in the Eastern region.
The court adjourned to April 4, to continue the attention-grabbing trial of kidnapping that has shaken the nation.
But how to leave the courtroom become a “very serious” challenge to the police, as the suspect was heckled, his shirt pulled, jostled, as police protection around him struggled to keep him safe.
At the height of the beatings, a police officer drew his pistol at the belligerent throng and threatened to shoot.
“Shoot, shoot I am ready to die”, one defiant man dared the frightened police officer.

Ndc f00*00l get out of here, Bring Back Our Girls to stop the beatings else don't annoy us. Ndc contracted this guy who according to Nigeria security is expert in kidnappings, why did he send the police to the Eastern region and to ndc stronghold the Kroboland? that shows ndc has a hand in that and according to their chairman they will kidnap girls and kill their opponents and make some people feel uncomfortable in Ghana so they will get power because they have no message to sell to the people, because they can't say what for 27 years rule they did, because their policy is to create l000*00t and share, that their dreams and vision is to destroy everything we build and that they are not interested in fixing and helping Ghanaians but they cone to help themselves and kill anyone who oppose their evil intentions! that is ndc for you , it is a fake party, ndc is a terrorist organization! it must be disbanded in Ghana! I know gradually Ghanaians will phase them out like cpp and pnc, Ghanaians ain't st*upid to keep a party with no vision ,no dreams, no policies but to create loot and share, kidnap and kill! GOD PUNISH NDC !
but I can't believe this, that even under the escort of the Police , he was allowed to be attacked by the mob. what kind of policing are were witnessing in this country? the police should have known better that he was likely to be attacked .It sends a wrong signal that the police in the handling this case in particular is not on top of issues.
