A fight over a woman between two groups of Nigerians at Gomoa Buduburam in the Central Region has resulted in the death of one person with another battling for his life at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
The two groups reportedly clashed at a local pub on Sunday.
They were reportedly fighting over a woman and this led to a man identified as Obinna Chuks, a Nigerian national being stabbed by another group in front of the Goma Buduburam police station, according to a radio report by Accra based Citi FM.
The injured person is currently receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
The identity of the individual who was stabbed to death is not yet known.
The Chairman of the Nigerian community in the area, Emmanuel Azibureke told Citi FM that efforts to collaborate with the police to arrest the criminals involved have so far been unsuccessful.
