The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo Addo has described Ghana�s foreign relations as dead under the Prof Mills-led NDC government.
Explaining his point, Nana Addo ignited the controversial �Dzi wo fie Asem� policy which Ghana adopted during the crises in Cote d'Ivoire, saying the position of the President has destroyed the trust the international community may have in Ghana.
Nana Akufo-Addo made these statements when he met Ghanaians and the Press in London as part of his campaign programmes for 2012 general elections. He however promised to redeem Ghana's image should he win the mandate to lead the country in 2012.
He expressed the urgent need to review the education system to enable the country achieve its development targets. He said the NPP will redefine basic education by expanding it from the Primary to the Senior High Schools, adding that, if the nation does not have a good educational system, the country cannot achieve its goals.
Nana Akufo-Addo stated that the country cannot grow if it continues to have 100,000 students failing at the basic levels.
On their part the former Ministers of Justice and Attorney General as well as Finance and Economic Planning, Joe Ghartey and Osafo Marfo respectively said, the NDC must be kicked out of power because no law works in Ghana anymore with NDC foot soldiers going round sacking everybody.
