Executive Director of Research and Advocacy group, WILSTRAT consults; William Majeed Mahama has admonished the Electoral Commission to conduct itself in a manner that will be treasured by Ghanaians especially the political parties contesting this years general elections.
Mr. Majeed in an interview with Citi News , maintained that it was incumbent on the EC to reconsider its stance on the re-demarcation of the additional 45 constituencies to avoid the possibility of some miscreants using it as a yardstick to reject the outcome of the December 7 polls.
This in his estimation will deepen the ECs public confidence to ensure violence free elections on December 7.
He made reference to the court ruling which upheld the bi-elections in Wulensi and the Kwabre west constituencies and thereby insisted the CI 78 should be looked a critically.
He also implored all the political parties leadership to be civil in their utterances to preserve the nations much touted trademark as the Beacon of democracy in Africa.
