President Mahama has promised to prioritize housing for teachers who are without proper accommodation when the NDC government is retained in power.
President Mahama said his government wants to create conducive environment for teachers to enable them to put up their best.
He was addressing students of the Takoradi Polytechnic and the Holy Child Training College at Takoradi on his campaign tour of the Western region.
For teachers, we are coming out with a housing programme, we want to take 20,000 teaching families out of the housing markets and house them in their institutions.
So for polytechnics, for vocational schools, technical schools, secondary schools and universities, we are going to build houses on campus so that we can move more of the lecturers on campus President Mahama said.
