President John Dramani Mahama says the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) is an effective tool for accountable governance.
He indicated that its nonpartisan nature offers a unique opportunity for successive governments to continue with its implementation.
The APRM seeks to promote transparency and openness in governance as well as ensure the participation of the grass root in decision making.
A Senior Policy Advisor at the Presidency, Dr Sulley Gariba stated this on behalf of the President at the launch of a book on the APRM titled "Innovative thinking on Governance".
