Some leading members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are asking the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamud Bawumia, to retrace his political roots and return to the NDC. The campaign launch of the NDC parliamentary nominee for Walewale Constituency, Abdallah Abubakar, was agog with messages either challenging Dr. Bawumia on his critique of the economy or urging him to join the NDC.
Thousands of NDC supporters thronged the Walewale Football Park for the campaign launch. Abdallah Abubakar, addressing the frenzy crowd, called on electorates to consider the enormous developmental projects in voting during the December general elections. He is confident the NDC will win votes for both the Parliamentary and Presidential race in the Walawale constituency.
Mr. Abubakar claims his performance as Northern Region Minister in the past six months is better than the eight years of incumbent Member of Parliament, Dr Sagre Bambangi. “Compare my six months in office to the eight years of Dr Sagre Bambangi, my six months is witnessing the construction of roads, the connecting of communities unto the national grid and providing of potable drinking water to some communities. “This year’s election isn’t about talks but about work and I have proven to you within these few months that I can deliver.
We are taking back our seat, and winning the presidential votes for President John Dramani Mahama,” he said. Several ministers of state and NDC stalwarts, who took to the campaign platform, focused their messages on Dr. Mahamudu Bamumia, Nana Addo’s running mate and a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana. Minister for Roads and Highways and the Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central Constituency, Inusah Fuseini, charged Dr. Bamumia to trace his political roots. “NPP is not his home, he doesn’t belong to NPP. He should go back and check the records, from 1992 to 2000.
There’s no political party in Ghana that insulted his father more than the NPP, he was called a political prostitute, he was called a foreigner, they said he didn’t deserve any political appointment.” The Northern Regional Campaign Coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna also tagged the economist as being ungrateful to the National Democratic Congress. He argues, “Dr Bawumia’s bills while in school was paid by the National Democratic Congress and he’s a beneficiary of the good will of the party thus we are waiting and praying he realizes he’s with the wrong political party”. National Campaign Coordinator of the NDC, Kofi Adams, added his voice to the call on Dr Bawumia to come back to where he belongs, adding “the New Patriotic Party will never win and it is better for him to join us.
National Democratic Congress is an umbrella and we welcome everybody on board same way we welcomed Abdallah Abubakari from the PNC”. He also encouraged party supporters to intensify the door-to-door campaign to canvass votes for the party. The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Murtala Mohammed, addressing supporters did not mince words when he told Dr Bawumia that “economic figures mean nothing to electorates in Walewale, GDP growth has done ABC is useless to electorates. What is important for the electorates is that they were without power, potable drinking water, good roads, essential facilities but now they have”.

Ohh NDC I thought lying was your specialization and now you are even bad at that. Bawumia started his Phd at Simon Fraser University in 1990 and the NDC was formed in 1992. His Phd education was financed by way of him being a TA, scholarships and fellowships till 1996. He never and I repeat never had a Government of Ghana scholarship for his Phd program. Please go back and review his excellent CV on Wikipedia for the times in question. Thus it is impossible for the NDC to finance his education. NDC guys please read as Dr Bawumia advised you in the recent past.
Hahahahahahaha agiiiiiii ' hehehehe ndc ooooooo,so their insult to the unbeatable Bawumiah meant come join the incompetent group and school us,we beg you Dr Bawumiah your father was an ndc man so you are at all cost an ndc man, what nonsens**is this?why are you not calling Nana Konadu and her husband back, they are the owners of the ndc? You are just members, why are you not calling them back but somebody who never said he was an ndc member but just because his father was an ndc man,are you not the same people who insulted his father?are you not the same ndc who said his father lied about John mahama's father for his position? So what is your problem if he has decided to be with are a competent group of substance where he can display his skills better,so you don't accuse him of competing or back stabbing your incompetent president to become an ndc candidate,Tafiakwa! That will never even happen and that one too is giving you headache? NDC have real problem, they are sick and desperate. Oman sika mo awia ahy3 mo botom no afiase ho na mo b3ko.Dr Bawumiah is not a thi*f so can't join a bunch of thi*ves. Ndc GET THAT.
Yes you paid his school fees for him and he realised the mac party is full of ***barred word*** and ***barred word*** people and could no longer be part of it so he left. Bawumia is too handsome to be looking at faced like alotey Jacobs period.
Ofosu Kwaakye and Okudzeto Ablakwa school fees were paid by NPP and even had NPP party cards when they weer in Schoolat the univerty .what about that murtala?
Rawlings school fees were paid by Kwame Nkrumah. But Rawlings NEVER EVER spoke well of Osagyefo! How about that Murtala.
I CAN'T THINK FAR IN THE LAST ELECTIONS, HE THE HON REGIONAL MINISTER FOR NORTHERN REGION CONTESTED AS AN MP ON DIFFERENT PARTY TICKET BUT NOT NDC WHAT HAS CHANGE. ALSO, IF DR BAWUMIA DOSE NOT BELONG TO THE NPP AS THE NDC CLAIM, AND HE CAN BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO SERVE AS RUNNING MATE FOR THREE CONSECUTIVE TIMES IN NPP THEN THIS POLITICAL PARTY IS ACCOMMODATIVE AND ALLINCLUSIVE NOT EVEN ALHAJI MOHAMMED MUMUNI WAS GIVEN SUCH OPPORTUNITY IN THE NDC UPON HIS ACCIDENT NO SYMPATHY WAS SHOWN HIM. NOW HE HAS BEEN THROWN OUT OF THE COUNTRY NOT TO BENEFIT FROM THE PARTY HE TOIL HIS LIFE FOR. THIS IS WHAT NDC ARE WICKEDNESS IS UNDERSTATEMENT. #ARISEFORCHANGE #CHANGEISCOMING

I am the longest political party to rule over the affairs of Ghana. I watch over the sale of over 90% of the assets of Ghana, most of which no body knows who bought them.Under my tenure, the youth are unemployed.utility bills are bloated. Only members of my kith and clan gets juicy contracts and scholarships. I builds roads, hospitals, houses with state funds far beyond comparable international prices or costs ripping off my "beloved country's economy" to enrich myself.Yet i am not greedy, nor power drunk. Neither am i violent, when i attack, maim or clandinestinely kill my perceieved 'opponents' just to perpetuate my rule.So that nobody uncovers my corrupt deeds in the foreseable future. I am people centred,i care for you, social democrat.Oh!!GOOD GOD look on my 'good deeds' and bless my clan.
His school fees were paid for by the government of Ghana! Ndc never had 'money' in that sense. They use the taxes of Ghana citizens at home and abroad to pay scholarship. Don't get it fcking twisted Murtala!
Yes remember JJ once told him, that he should stop misbehaving bcos NDC sponsor his education Abroad.
