The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Madam Charlotte Osei, has responded to pleas by the flagbearer of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom for 5 minutes audience with her.
She says not even a minute, two; three, four or five can make any difference to the fact that he has been disqualified from running as a presidential candidate for the 2016 elections.
“I don’t know what five extra minutes can do……I am not sure it will make any difference “, she said.
A sober speaking Dr Nduom at a media briefing on Tuesday, begged for a 5-minute time discussion with the EC boss to enable him rectify the anomaly identified in his nomination papers subsequently leading to his disqualification among 11 others.
‘We must put it on record that the PPP has over the years consistently called on the EC to be strengthened so that it can enforce political parties’ law… I am here to call on the EC specifically the returning officer for the presidential elections who happens to be the EC chairperson to allow me to meet with her to rectify any anomaly indentified in the nomination papers amicably, five minutes discussion with Mrs Charlotte Osei and I will be cleared to contest in this elections, five minutes will resolve the issue, ’ he appealed.
But Madam Charlotte Osei who is resolute in her decision, said she is rather prepared to meet the party in court if they feel unfairly treated.

This isn't time to insult adults but time for the law to take its course. The bible instruct us to honour our patents in the Lord. Regards my fellow Ghanaians...
See am der. Now u see ur level when blaming her she is not competent in enforcing the law. But does Nduom agree she made mistake in the first place. If not den even 24 hours self cant do anything.
iron lady we support u , more fire
This woman will be put into shame very soon, you think you are doing something hmmmmmm go and ask your predecessor. Ghana for you.
Firm Lady, continue with the good work you are doing.
Instead of doing what is right you were going round antagonizing Prof Mills' family for his death certificate. Have you seen what has befallen you? You have lost the brightest Parliamentary candidate in your party (I hope you have secured her death certificate) and now you can't even contest the elections. Have you ever heard the Lord's word that goes "touch not my anointed?" Angel Prof Mills is watching.
Incompetent Ndoum couldn't get his own workers to vouch for him because he is stingy. Some workers in his numerous companies earn a paltry 150 Ghana cedis (150 GHC) a month whilst he goes around blowing cash left right centre on beauty queens. None of us will even have voted for him. Incompetent bozo needs 5 minutes to right what he couldn't do in 4 years. YAASOR! HA HA HA HA HA
Nduom, there you are! After Kufuor has made you to handle 3 ministerial Portfolios in his cabinet you turned your back to the NPP. I will not be shocked if I am told you voted for Prof Atta-Mills instead of Nana Akufo Addo in 2008. You think you have got money so that is the end of life. You have been cut to size by the disqualification. God is watching everybody...now your cup is FULL. Go and sin no more. Ypu have surrounded yourself with incompetent people...how can they do meticulous...
If Dr. Nduom has GN banks in all the districts in Ghana, how come He didn't get two of his workers in each district to subscribe for him? Lazy Dr.
Keep up the good work. Just make sure you are fair and operate within the law and Ghanaians will have no reason but to accept the outcome of the elections. I am confident that you will deliver.
