Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, responding to the Supreme Court ruling for former Attorney General Martin Amidu to cross examine him, says the court is on a mission to persecute and disgrace him.
He lamented in a live Facebook interview with Graphic Online, saying "I disagree totally with the ruling . . . I am speaking as a citizen, and I feel that the Supreme Court is persecuting me."
But addressing the issue on Thursday's edition of Peace FM's Kokrokoo, the former NPP MP for Evalue-Gwira, Catherine Abelema Afeku called on Mr. Woyome to make peace with Ghanaians.
She advised Mr. Woyome to end the conspiracy theory surrounding the GHC 51 million paid to him by the State, by disclosing all his accessories in the infamous judgment debt saga.
Mrs. Abelema Afeku noted that the Supreme Court ruling that Martin Amidu can orally examine him (Woyome) is a great opportunity for him (Woyome) to absolve himself.
“On Thursday, the 24th of November; Ghana will sit still. My expectation is for Mr. Woyome to tell the truth . . . He will have the opportunity. The family should encourage him to talk. Whatever the conspiracy theory is, he should shed light on it for Ghanaians to be at peace with him and himself.
“Whatever happened from the abrogated stadia contract, from financial engineering, from his court entries, from discontinuation, from Martin Amidu who’s insisting that there’s something fishy about it; Mr. Woyome, this is your chance to set yourself free.”

Woyome should be sent to prison for contempt of court if he refuses to talk.
Massa; in the real world this is what Woyome should do because of the DISGRACE and pressure that he has been brought upon his family and his circle of frineds and church members ; the truth is that Woyome cannot and will not spill the beans on how he shared the lutted cash because it is too complicated ; all over the world collusion robbery like this are always kept secret till the end ; the trouble is although this is an opportunity to tell Ghanaians how the cash was shared ; the next court sitting may find Woyome declaring that he cannot appear because he is sick and signed off by a Doctor ; or his lawyers will apply to the courts that the single judge declaring such motion for Martin -Amidu to examine him is not constitutional and that the matter be reviewed ; the whole idea is to delay the re-examination ; ;the idea is to hope that the NDC shall win the next elections and perhaps woyome will be pardonned again by Krooked Jon Mahama or the matter shall be forgotten ;the trouble is that Woyome have been assured by Jon Mahama that they will look after him till the end ; the same applies to Atta Mills who was sacrificed for people in the NDC today to still by Jon Mahama ; the roots of woyomes deeds and troubles are rooted in the Bible which says 'WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN IF HE GAINS THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSES HIS SOUL'; this is trouble for woyome today GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSE THE PEACE FOR YOUR FAMILY AND FRINEDS; besides woyome does not understand what is in a 'name' because if he knew that his name Agbesi Woyome has been cast in the stone of evil doers with Ghanaians for the rest of his existance he will think twice but this does not relevant to Woyome he wants to be known as a BIG ewe man who came to be rich for the vOta region and stole Ghana's monies but oneday when woyome dies a voice will come out and shout ' MAN WHAT IS THEY NAME' and that is where woyome will release that a good name is better than riches .
A STITCH IN TIME SAVES NINE. IF WAYOME WILL GATHER THE COURAGE AND NAME HIS ACCOMPLICES SOONER, HE WILL BE RELIEVED A BIT. BEING SILENT WILL EVENTUALLY SEND HIM TO HIS EARLY GRAVE. GHANAIANS ARE BENT ON COLLECTING THEIR MONEY RAIN OR SHINE!
The man had "stolen" from us and shared with some people but is left all by himself to defend now, how do you expect him to keep quite? His last days will be critical if not suicidal... he thot the money was a freebie so he squandered all with other people anyhaw... I think he need a close monitoring with a counsellor/psychologist.
Wayome..Wayome speak the truth and the truth shall make you free
Good suggestion and when he fails to talk nothing or nothing its contempt of court. He has to be polite without prejudices to provide facts not opinions. However if its a criminal proceedings then my Lord Chief Justice kindly allow for broadcast for Ghanaians to know and not often the twisted reports of the JOURNALIST. Tenkew
Wayome is likely not to talk, in that case. what will be the next action?
