As the jostling for positions in the incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration gains momentum, Constituency and some Regional Organisers of the party across the ten regions of the country, especially those in the Ashanti region appear united in their plea, that President-elect Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, appoints the Ashanti regional Organiser, Stephen Amoah to a susbtantive Ministerial position.
The paper gather that last Saturday when the various Organizers of the part in the Ashanti region had their turn to congratulate President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo, chief amongst the issues they touched on, aside the congratulation and other plaudits was to plead with the man in whom the power to appoint people who would work in the next administration rest, to consider the Investment Consultant to a substantive ministerial position.
“Stephen Amoah has served the Party all his life. Aside serving the party his contemporaries, whom he started facing-off in debates on the economy like Haruna Iddrisu of the NDC have all been rewarded for their stewardship to the party. He also has the education that would make him deliver when he is appointed”, a man who only identified himself as Aidoo told this paper via telephone last Saturday.
Yaw Dadson, another one of the organisers who was present at the meeting said “Well, after the meeting I was telling them how this guy has suffered for the party. He has been a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is almost done with his PHD so when it comes to academics I don’t think he has a match amongst his contemporaries in the party, besides that he has served the party so for me; if he get a ministerial position it’s in order”.
Unlike others, Stephen Amoah, despite losing virtually every position he has contested in the Party has remained resolute and been on the side of the party on any given day. In the Ashanti region, our independent checks revealed that Stephen Amoah was one of the master brains that ensured that the party garnered as many votes at a time when the NDC was threatening to secure 1 million votes in the region.
Mr. Stephen Amoah served as a member of the Public Affairs Committee, National Campaign team for election 2008, who campaigned on the ground, in addition to his experience as Ashanti Regional TESCON President.
He effectively handled the office of Youth trainer as well as served as the resource person for training of NPP youth for community outreach activities in 2004.

This guy will only get a position with the tacit approval of the main man in Ashanti Wuntomi
akuffo addo himself is already confused because small boys are telling him who to chose as a minister how? akuffo addo seat up well oooo because the work ahead of you from your own mouth is not dancing in church oooo. dumsor is coming back whether you like it or not so old man,be strong and lets see the good things in you. you have already disappointed the people of kyebi and the akyem land for not helping them during your 12 years as an mp and and 8 years as a minister. akuffo addo wasted 20 solid years in parliament without any project or achievement to show ***barred word*** man.
THERE ARE SO MANY PROFESSIONALS IN NPP BUT VERY FEW OF THEM SACRIFICE THEMSELVES AND COME OUT FOR EVERYONE TO CRITICIZE THEM. THESE GUYS SACRIFICE EVEN THEIR PRIVACY. MASSA LET HIM BE IF NANA WANTS TO MAKE HIM A MINISTER. HE HAS ONLY ONE PROBLEM, HE HAS TO LEARN TO PUT UP A CHEERFUL FACE. A CHEERFUL COUNTENANCE MIGHT DO THE TRICK FOR THIS GUY. GOOD LUCK BRO! BUT DON'T FORGET THE IMF, THE WORLD BANK, THE SO CALLED EU AND THE KRAFTY DONOR AGENCIES WILL MAKE SURE THAT THE CEDI IS DEVALUED TO THE POINT WHERE WHATEVER YOU GUYS DO CANNOT BEAR ANY PROPER FRUITS.
The Guy is a good party material no doubt about that but, the promises that was churned out demands people with doable skills not try and error type. May be good as deputy minister for education in charge of tertiary education.
There is no doubt Stephen Amoah is a well qualified persona for ministerial position ;I have heard the articulate some good thoughts and he is good ;to me the man is very articulate and very good academically ; but the fact is that the mere acqusition of paper qualifications does not imply anybody can do a Ministerial job and achieve results ;you may have Directors to guide you as a minister but not all these sector Directors are good ; you the minister should be very good with your brief ; we all saw it with Jon Mahama and his NDC cronies highly qualified donkeys who did not understand their brief and caused CHAOS; those years are behind us; we need people who understand what they are doing and can create wealth for Ghana and not these medicre THINKERS !!!!!!;there are people with these qualifications who can articulate their subjects and views in the media like parrots but when it comes to delivery are just uless; for me; there are other equally very important positions that this man could do very well if appointed besides this idea that the man has worked hard for the party so he should be appointed a minister is a BIG MISTAKE !!!!!!!!! ; Nana Addo needs people who can deliver his manifesto objectives not people with tons of paper qualifications but creative people who understand and can deliver and not people who cannot THINK !!!!!!!!! and assume a MInisterial position as another avenue to lut from Ghanaians .
