The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has bemoaned the dismissive nature of Yaw Osafo Marfo, Senior minister-designate during his vetting Friday.
Osafo Maafo answering a question from the former deputy education minister regarding the Chinese New Techniques Construction Investment Company (CNTCI), the International Finance Corporation loans and the McMillan Text Book printing saga, dismissed the latter as infantile stating that: “I think you were too young at the time to read the matter.”
He had since withdrawn the statement and apologized at the behest of the Chairman of the Appointments Committee, Joe Osei Owusu.
“I withdraw that statement with apology,” he said.
But speaking Monday on Radio Gold, the North Tongu lawmaker berated the senior minister-designate for his show of arrogance at his vetting.
He said the former finance minister’s entire attitude during the vetting was wrong.
“Honourable Osafo Maafo clearly if you look at how cheeky he was at times and how he sought to be just flippant, be abrasive and dismissive…clearly that kind of approach doesn’t help,” he said.
He continued that Ghanaians expect their functionaries to be “very humble, down to earth and I don’t think that the Honourable Osafo Maafo cut that fit in the way he conducted himself when he appeared before us.”

Are you going to Kill yourself? Hahahahah. Poor dude. You don't control the world. It is only God who knows the future. See how your incessant attacks on then Presidential Candidate of NPP, sent you into hibernation for over one mouth. lol Welcome though. As for Okudzato, I don't even have his time.
The house only asked Osafo Maafo to retract the statement, but he went ahead to apologise in addition. What does Ablakwa want to gain after receiving an underserved apology from the honourable nominee. If indeed you weren't too young to understand at the time, how come you wouldn't know the issue was well explained in parliament. Infact if you are still not too young to understand how come you have been a deputy educational minister and still could not get yourself briefed on the Macmillan text book issues???
Hahahahaaaaaa what goes round comes rounds. I am grateful to the almighty that i live to witness the likes of Okudzeto Ablakwa complaining about dismissive attitude. God save us from our iniquities. You have not seen anything yet
Eei Ablakwa! do you mean you have any feelings on somenone's utterances? How did you guys come by the title "Babies with Sharp Teeth"? Your irresponsible, vulgeer and intolerant insults to the elderly, even your "godfather" Jery earned you that title. The question you asked the statesman of the caliber of Mr. Maafo was more cheeky than the answer you received. You people do not read any authentic news papers. All what you read are those tabloids that dont have even 100 readers in a week and so their articles are not scrutinized. Whose problem is it when a whole deputy minister (a la NDC) chooses to read inferior newspapers, gets a wrong information, does not keep it to himself but sends this ***barred word*** information to a vetting committee session to advertise his ignorance? Ablakwa, you and your cohorts like the Haruna Iddrisus, Ayarigas and the Fiifi Kweteys must wise up and behave maturely as Ghanaians will watch every move of yours and take note of them. You guys have basked in your foools paradise for far too long and the axe of justice is ready to strike.
Surprising,it seems Abrakwah is going for the arrogant dress he claimed he left sometimes ago. I also forced to believe that at radio Gold there is GBESHIE there tormenting the panelists if it comes to political discussion
The SI unit for measuring arrogance is your contemporary Felix Ofosu Kwakye, not Osafo Maafo.
Wow, is Ablakwa saying this or am I dreaming? If you ask baseless question or make allegation at this level without any evidence, you expect the respondent to be humble? No, no and no. We don't do that. Hon. Osafo Marfo's response was perfect. Ablakwa didn't respect himself in the first place and wanted to score cheap political point and he got what he deserves. This is a serious business and we don't go there to speculate or disrespect others with baseless questions with no shred of evidence.
Okudzeto........ You should not be surprised ooo... was expecting worst from him.....Knowing how arrogant they all are including their short Akyem ganja mafia planta!!!
Interviews are not only how well and intelligently you answer questions, but your temperaments are also tested. Old age does not mean you know it all. He failed.
Look at Ablakwa's bloated face. So much impudence. Now he knows what humility is ah? Wait till we ask you to account for the houses you have in the US and the numerous properties acquired in Ghana. Don't forget that in the USA, we have some called 'freedom of information act'. It is very easy to obtain info of the real owners of hidden properties. Dwulor!
