Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom’s decision to serve Ghana under former President Kufour didn’t sit well with most members of the Convention People’s Party as they saw the move as stab in the back.
According to the former Energy and Public Sector Reform minister, when he accepted to serve under the erstwhile NPP administration, some people claimed he had crossed carpet and bitterly insulted him.
Dr. Nduom’s decision to visit the matter was borne out of the similar vilification Hon. E.T Mensah recently suffered from some NDC executives of the Ningo-Prampram constituency because he had opted to join the race to become a representative of the Greater Accra Region on the Council of State.
Hon. E.T. Mensah a former NDC Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, was among those contesting to represent the Greater Accra Region on the Council of State.
But contrary to his personal decision to contest, Hon. E.T. Mensah backed off from the contest.
In a letter dated 16th February, 2017 the former MP stated that “I wish to inform you of my decision to redraw from the Council of State elections for the Greater-Accra Region”
And speaking on ATV’s Ghana Great and Strong show, Dr. Nduom noted that “I know this issue and I have felt this issue”. He explained that “Many of you remember I was a member of the CPP and was invited to serve under former President Kufuor led... When I did that they said he has gone to join the NPP”.
Dr. Nduom advised that rather than the insults, people should understand that no matter our political colour, we can all help when it comes to nation building.

Captein or whoever you are, and others, you are one of those spreading malicious rumours and untruths about this great man. All you have posted here are false. Get back to the topic. The man says he served in an NPP administration what you and others don't get is that you do not have to belong to a certain political party to serve in an administration and make valuable contributions to your country. Nduom did well for Ghana under Kufuor. Since then, which visible politician has done what he did. They are all afraid of being tagged with negatives and insulted. Is that what Ghana needs? Look at Akufo-Addo's ministerial choices. ALL NPP to the core. Will that serve Ghana's needs better? We shall see!
My question to Dr Nduom is when he joined a party diametrically opposed to his own party'a ideology what did he contribute to Ghana's development? Nduom credits himself with the Millennium Challenge Account but the fact of the matter is whether Nduom was there or not it was an American Policy to award African countries that practiced democracy. As such there was no way Ghana could have been left out. Since Ghana successfully changed government by the ballot from one party NDC to NPP. And it was the first in the whole of Africa. Secondly, as we can see the Energy minister portfolio of Nduom was chaotic hence the repercussions of DUMSOR after Kufuor left office. Thirdly, as PSR Minister and seeing to the devastating SSSS,of the Kufupr government that paralyzed the earnings or revenue from all taxes Ghana collected only to be used in paying workers at some 70% such that today we have to keep borrowing from the IMF because we quickly depleted our earnings from taxes. So Dr Nduom can be more effective in the private sector but not in politics. He did not contribute as a politician to the development of Ghana.
You were one of the main reason NPP lost 2008 elections. After starting rotating your hands like a helicpter for change, all the other parties used it calling for change. A change from the same party you were part of.
Did ET actually write "redraw" instead of "withdraw"?
Are you agitating for a post? Just say so, Sir!! This time around, I think you must just advice instead of being a minister.
So SIr when you are called to serve under this government will you Accept? If yes then why did you suspend and sacked others from your company just after the 2016 Election. Now your Captain is not allowed to be part of the SHARKS TEAM because he put on NPP SHIRT.WHY?
Ghana belongs to us all and we must understand the benefit of inclusiveness.
Good one man, NDC's should read this well and understand it to know how to build a nation
WELL SAID SIR
