The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Koku Anyidoho has said that the fact finding Professor Kwesi Botchwey election review committee, tasked to investigate why the NDC lost Election 2016 has unveiled a myriad of problems within the NDC.
To him, setting up the committee was “one of the best decisions we’ve taken as a political party", because it is telling us that the anger, pain and bitterness expressed by members were indicators to the reasons for the about one million of sympathisers not voting for the NDC. According to Mr Anyidoho, the said one million voters, not only refused to vote for the NDC, but they abstained from the polls and did not vote for the NPP as well.
“We are now getting to the bottom of the issues, telling us that these are the reasons why we didn’t go out to vote,” Mr Anyidoho said in a radio interview with Accra based Oman FM.
Ironically, before Election 2016, the leadership and functionaries of the NDC continuously touted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was a party full of divisive tendencies and confusion and did not deserve the mandate to govern.
Rather, the NDC leadership touted the party as the best form and example of a united party that deserved to be given the mandate to rule.
Making the revelation however in the radio interview, Mr Anyidoho said the grassroots of the NDC have been giving them a litany of the reasons why they didn’t vote for the NDC.
“For me as a party leader, that is very, very encouraging, if these people had not opened up to the committee for us to get to the bottom of the matter, then we can’t solve the problem. So I am encouraged that the one million people who did not vote for the NDC. If this exercise go round, we will take our million votes back.

The NDC tried to disorganize or disrupt NPP by helping some NPP executive to create confusion in the party. thank God Nana Addo remained focused upon all the attacks from his on party and from the opposition. one thing the NDC must know is that, they were united because of corruption. they were afraid to face the consequence if they fail to unit.it was a shallow unity. also the behaviour of some people like, Koku Anyidoho, Solomon Nkansah,Kwaku Boahen, Ofosu kwakyi and their so called celebrities like Mizbel, Tracy Boakye, Mr. Beautiful, John Dumelo were the cause of their failure. they were very arrogant and the electorate showed them where the power lies.
***barred word***, You are number one course of NDC lost, you talk any how, pertinent issue you will bring Akuffu Addo name, instigating insult you taught you were doing me,abouafo
as if they did not know their house was shattered. they knew very well they were divided but turn to the NPP to cover their own. in fact that help the NPP to get the easy win. they were seriously campaigning for Nana Addo by making him popular in their own party. i still believe ndc just want to get out of govt bcos of the mess they have created and having no idea how to turn things around with the population continuous getting tired of them. they knew there were loosing the elections but just dont want to look like jokers in the eyes of the world.
who should you the mandate to rule?
Koku,if these are the reasons you base your loss on then you must prepare yourself to be in opposition for a very long time. The fact of the matter is,the rigging machine has been dismantled.Without this there is no way NDC can came back to power.
If it makes Anyidoho happier to believe that the so called NDC sympathizers chose not to vote for NPP and instead abstained from voting at all,I would only say, leave him alone to live in his ***barred word*** paradise.
Mr Comfortable Lead, continue to find excuses. Your people are rather saying get out of the leadership position. They will do better without you. Onaapo!
kwaku who ever, where are you going to take that one million from ? you go on radio dye talk any how you think your dealing with small small boys? IS YOU COS THE WHORL THING.
Koku continue to sing and dance.
Peace FM should raise the bar small from this type of unnecessary PR for the NPP. Did Koku Anyidoho talked about members angry about leadership or leaders fighting among themselves like what NPP was doing? or you have problem of translating twi to English? Peace Fm helped NPP to win the election, we all know that but the most important thing is to help them to govern. Now can you remember Dr. Bawumia to use his 177 solution to arrest the dollar? Can you inform Nana Addo that he did not promise Ghanaian progressively free education but free education? Can your media house inform Nana that, he promised the teacher trainees that he will restore the allowance but not pay them allowance? These are bread and butter issue.
