Former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports is blaming recent tragic deaths in the Brong Ahafo Region and other parts of the country on curses invoked by the Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC.
According to Joseph Yammin, recent strange deaths and bloodbaths are as a result of certain actions and voodoo exercises undertaken by the NPP ahead of the December presidential and parliamentary elections.
Yammin was speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah in reaction to the death of some school children on excursion at the Kintampo waterfalls.
In the days leading to last year’s general elections, the Brong Ahafo Youth Organiser slaughtered a white ram, poured libation and chanted some incantations to curse Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and her officers.
Kwame Baffoe charged the gods to kill and deal ruthlessly with anyone that tried to rig the 2016 elections and to wipe off their generations.
The region has since after the elections recorded two different bloody incidents involving students with a space of one week.
Last week Sunday, four final-year students of Community Health Training School at Tanoso in the Tano North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region met their untimely death at dawn when the vehicle they were travelling in reportedly crashed into a tree.
Exactly a week after the four students’ deaths, seventeen people were feared dead after a huge tree fell on revelers at the Kintampo Water fall in the Brong Ahafo Region Sunday March 19, 2017.
But Joseph Yammin believes the bloody incidents should be blamed at doorstep of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
According to him, “we should blame the NPP for these tragic incidents because they were involved in a lot of occult practices before the elections.”
“Kwame, do you remember how Abronye DC and the NPP slaughtered sheep and invoked curses on everybody before the elections…he asked the gods to kill everybody who will try to rig the elections,” he charged.
Yammin adds, “now the NPP ended up rigging the elections and won by such a huge margin and you think the gods they believed in and offered sacrifices will be silent,” he asked.
“So Kwame, these tragic incidents should be blamed on the NPP and no one else,” he added.
The former minister has meanwhile accused President Akufo Addo of being insensitive to the pains of the berieved families of the weekend’s accident.
“Akufo Addo is a very insensitive leader…how can he abandon such a national disaster and join CEOs to hold meetings in Switzerland,” he said.
“The president must cut short his trip to the Switzerland and return home as a matter of urgency,” he added.
President Akufo Addo is currently in Switzerland attending a meeting of African Chief Executives Officers.

Yammin, you are being unreasonable and immature to blame the accidental tragic deaths on Nana and his NPP party. Secondly, for you to blame the tragic deaths you sighted in your piece i.e. the untimely and tragic deaths of four final-year students of Community Health Training School at Tanoso in the Tano North District of Brong Ahafo Region, and, the Seventeen people feared dead after a huge tree fell on revelers at Kintampo Water fall in the Brong Ahafo Region is simply childish and irresponsible. Thirdly, for you to call on Nana to immediately return home from Switzerland where he is having meetings with some of that Country's CEO's because of the recent tragic accidents. For your information, the incidents could not be anything more than simple tragic accidents and not a national disaster as you alluded to as such.
Before election 2016 who didn't no NPP slaughter animals to pacify gods to help them wine election. this is the price, God have mercy and save his own.
I BELIEVE FORMER PRESIDENT JOHN MAHAMA WILL NOW HAVE TIME TO LISTEN PROPERLY TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE HE PUT AT THE HELM OF AFFAIRS. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO MADE YOU [FORMER PRESIDENT] LOSE THE 2016 ELECTIONS. WATCH THEM!
So those dying tried to rig the elections huh? Yamin is such an 1diot. The foot soldiers are coming after them soon.
HOW OLD IS THIS YAMMIN GUY? AND HE WAS A DEPUTY MINISTER FOR YOUTH AND SPORTS? MY GOODNESS!!!
This Yamin man is he serious at all. Please this is serious issue which needs serious people to discus but not who are not serious. My friend let people take you serious.
I didn't want to add my voice but this Yamin guys is shamelessly sstupidd for him to make such assertions without proof. What would he say after the Circle flood and fire bath that saw over One Hundred and fifty people die during Mahama's era. To top it, the then Prez Mahama visited the site wearing white top when the country was mourning. Does that mean Mahama caused their death and that Mahama was an occultist? If you wear winter jacket in a hot country like Ghana, how can you think responsibly? Yamin's head has been roasted and that is it. This eevil twerp should let us have peace after the disaster. My condolences to the bereaved families.
....AND STOP SPEWING NONS.ENSE WHICH YOU HAVE NO PROOF. THIS IS WHY YOU LOST THE ELECTION BECAUSE GHANAIANS SEE YOU AS MERCILESSLY, MERCILESS!!!!!
I am very disappointed by these comments by the former deputy Minister. How shallow can some of our leaders be and how insensitive can he especially be. At a time when parents are grieving over the loss, the least we expect from a leader is to politicize this. No wonder our country is going nowhere because. How could such a person lead the country in any endeavour and expect the country to move forward. How would he feel if his child was involved in the tragedy and heard such irresponsible comment. I'm disappointed.
It is interesting listening to some of the NDC guys speak on issues of this nature.is it the first time an accident is occurring in the BA? We lost very precious lives and only self seeking politician will come public with something like this. The last time the MMT bus had the accident around the same waterfall side what caused that one? Was it also an NDC bloody kind of accident? I can't think far
