The Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says it is regrettable that he exposed the Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo over her false claims that the erstwhile Mahama government did not secure the necessary funding for the construction of the Community Day Senior High School project in her constituency.
Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa also the Deputy Minister of Education under the former NDC administration, Thursday responded to Dome-Kwabenya MP’s claim that cited the esrtwhile Mahama administration allegedly taking undue credit for the Kwabenya Community Senior High School(SHS) established in her constituency.
The Dome-Kwabenya legislator, Sarah Adwoa Safo in a meeting with her constituents had intimated that it was absurd for the erstwhile NDC administration to claim ownership of the Kwabenya SHS project, when they are aware that all the Community Day SHSs built by the former President John Mahama were sited in their strongholds.
According to her, the Kwabenya SHS project was realized through her intervention with the World Bank.
However, Ablakwa in a Press statement released on the matter dismissed his colleague MP’s claims, saying the project was part of Mahama’s 200 community SHS project executed nationwide.
Commenting on the fallout from the matter on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Ablakwa said he was taken aback as to why the Deputy Majority Leader, Adwoa Safo will be involved in such outright falsehood to deceive her constituents.
On his part, he was sad to engage in that disagreement with Deputy Majority Leader on her false claims who is a respectable figure in the House.
“There is no iota of truth in what she said and it pains me a lot that I had to come out and set the record straight on the claims she made. The 200 Community Day SHSs was a Flagship programme of the Mahama-led administration and it was realized out of President Mahama’s intervention with the World Bank to support his vision for Secondary Education in Ghana” he reiterated in an interview with Fiifi Banson Friday.

BEAUTIFUL AND INNOCENT FACE ADOWA SARFO SPEWED A BLATANT LIE PERIOD. TAKE IT OR LEAVE.
In fact, some Ghanaians are so gullible that Adwoa Sarfo could tell such stories knowing very well that some people, mainly gullible NPP supporters and sympathisers would believe it. It is very, very sad, God saves Ghana and those who are ***barred word*** to believe her story. Adwoa Sarfo should show some decency, honesty and respect to Ghanaians and apologise
which contractors of the community Day SHS has not been paid? Do u know of any or you are just following the rumour mongers? Have you ever executed any project for a client before? Please go do your homework well before u come out and say things thats you don't know ok. Thanks.
what role did she play? Give credit where it is due. The previous regime did well with that project and if u so feel there is something wrong with it probe it and see and stop trowing dust into ppl eyes. Its a shame when supposed honourable men and women lie through their teeth just to score cheap political points. We discerning Ghanaians are more intelligent than you ppl think ok. Wise up for once.
Adwoah safoah played a major role in the siting of the school. In fact if she had'nt, the ndc would have misused the world's bank funding. Kudos Adwoa you are a principled person determined to help your constituents
If i may ask Ablakwa, how come the N D C government failed to pay for projects funded by the world bank? Even some contractors who were contracted to build the community S H S were not paid even though they had handed over the projects, world bank funding paaa nie,
Lest we forget. Ablakwa 1million employment figure announced when the Employment Minister didn't even know. Cheers
At the end of the day, a school was built for the benefit of Ghanaian children. We the majority of Ghanaians are not that dumb to be drawn into a silly argument and lies from both parties (NPP & NDC). Let us leave the bickering and pettiness to the politicians and let us the ordinary people SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE and not fall into the trap the politicians set for us by taking sides and insulting each other on every news item that breaks out!
Lies will also keep NDC in opposition forever. The Desperation of the opposition Ndc party is just too much like is showing on every decides they make, press conference that the do in every hour hahahaha NDC this will never ever make us forget your thiefery from us Ghanaians .
So is this what NDC never did when they were in power, grow up and condemn both parties when it comes to matters like this and stop being a defending champion cos Ablakwa lies more than any one in their party cos of the sharp teeth. Those SHS were not built cos the president saw as a necesity but he built thinking Ghanaians will vote for them again , spare us madam
