It is common saying, that they that seek equity ought to come with clean hands. It is therefore ironic that former President Mahama will be the one talking about what is “419” and what is not.
Is this the same President that openly touted his insensitivity to the plight of the Ghanaian with his infamous “dead goat” speech?
After suprintending a very corrupt, divisive and an incompetent government thereby leading the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to a disastrous first round defeat in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, many were those who thought you will coil in your shell, take a breather and ponder on your failures and perhaps make restitution.
But No! Because you believe that indeed “Ghanaians have short memories,” you come pontificating in that which is right and that which is not. You talk about Ayisi Boateng? Amazing! When Stan Dogbe attacked journalists and smashed their recorders and when the entire media fraternity signed a petition for his sacking what did you do?
Did the Flagstaff House not become a haven for officials deemed to have been engaged in corruption? You remember Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and the Brazil debacle? You talk about firmness? I believe one of the firm decisions you took was granting the 'Muntie 3' amnesty even against the collective revulsion of the Ghanaian People.
You have soon forgotten how you openly insulted, labelled and tagged the people of Kumasi as ungrateful in May, 2014?
"If we build roads with gold, Ashantis won’t appreciate" – Mahama. For a President to make such unwarranted comment called for an unqualified apology but you never did. To this day, that statement stands to your eternal shame.
All Ghanaians experienced Ghana under your tenure as President and we are experiencing a working Ghana under President Akufo Addo's tenure. The difference is clear. The development of Ghana remains Nana Addo's topmost priority and these distractions will rather energize and motivate him and his able appointees to work for the good people of Ghana. Ghana is working again for the good of all.
I am sure President Akufo-Addo is willing to take lessons on morality. But from where the lesson comes, matters. I doubt that you qualify to pontificate on same.

The epitome of wisdom is to be able to reflect on your past, learn from the mistakes you made, accept them and use it as a basis to advice others to avoid making similar mistakes and humbly ask for forgiveness from your fellow man. Unfortunately though John Mahama does not seem to have changed and therefore his comments and statements as have been exhibited lately will rather alienate more Ghanaians from him and the respect that should be accorded him as a former president will gradually fade away. Surrounding himself with self-serving praise worshipers was his downfall and it appears that he has not learned his lesson and gradually he will go down in history with nothing positive attached to his name.
It saddens my heart to see how we treat our own, spewing venoms and invectives on our very own, not to mention our own ex-president. Even if the Ex-president got it wrong, you educate him, not vilify him. Lets love ourselves. My 2 cents
Yes, all what Madam Dy Minister has said are true and the most comments in her favour are in place. However, as a direct appointee of the ruling government some of us do not expect you to take direct responsibility in countering political opponents on social media. Please do concentrate on your job and let others do the responding. If at all, you can do so under a pseudonym. Please lets respect decorum. Thanks
Is this one too a Minister being paid with our money? Uuuuhhhmmmmmmm! Pure R
@ Jonathan Lagos, when they did what you think should not be repeated, did you condemn it? Are you now accepting that it was a mistake and must not be repeated? Where were you then? Where was your judgement then? If you could not call Mahama to resign at that time it will be hypocritical for you to expect Mahama to condemn Ayisi Boateng and Nana Addo and be left to go free. Mahama has no moral right to expect any public official to apologise and for that matter resign.
some times, it amazes me when women who are expected to be wise, come out just to advertise their ignorance on national issues insulting people who can father them and their children,no doubt, charity, they say begins at home.
Well said sweetheart....Well said. One would have hoped that this man would now take a sober reflection of his defeat and learn from his numerous mistakes. But no, he still shamefully exhibits his traits of incompetence with some of these annoying utterances. Today he has the guts to pontificate on Ayisi Boateng's comments. Yes Ayisi Boateng was very wrong but does this former incompetent president have the moral right to criticize Ayisi Boateng? When Mahama was criticized by Ghanaians he told us that they were ***barred word*** criticisms. This arrogant Mahama was told that we couldn't find the roads he was going round touting he had built in an unprecedented manner. What was his response, " YOU MUST BE SLEEPING". Such is the man who became the president of this country. SHAME ON YOU MAHAMA.....
***barred word***, lack of dignity and ignorance. phuul. Have you come to do politics of equalization? If someone did it and it was wrong, doesnt mean you can also do it... then we are moving forward. Insanity is doing the same things and expecting results.
Thanks my daughter. However I want someone to remind Mahama of the infamous "Kookoase Nkroasefuor" and "Shed off your Kumasi thing" derogatory stereotyping of Ashantis and Kumasi people in particular by the then Minister or Dep. Kobby Acheampong? Just take EVERY SINGLE SPEECH OF ASIEDU NKETIA and the insults, insinuations and derision is replete as symptomatic of the character of the NDC Party itself. Just ask any press house about a paragraph to describe the NDC and you will know what Ghanaians in general perceive them for. Just think of the construction of the guest house at Bole and ask yourself if that had been built under the government of Kuffour, what would have happened in Ghana. Perhaps Kwesi Pratt would have gone to take phographs with microscopes, telescopes and X-Ray cameras. This Mahama man should not make us angry any more and leave us in our miserable retirements quietly. Enough is enough of Mahama.
Obaapa wakasa ama me koma ato me yam!!!!
