A former Member of Parliament (MP) for Upper Denkyira West, Benjamin Kofi Aryeh has said that though the country faced some challenges with the Senior High School programme, the implementation of the free Senior High School [SHS] policy, has exposed further problems.
According to him, this will keep the government and authorities involved to focus directly on the necessary factors without hassle.
He said the introduction of the free SHS by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government has forced the media to also to focus their attention on Senior High Schools, therefore bringing out the problems facing the sector.
“I am very pleased that the media took up this cause, as a result paving way for other nationalists to offer their help,” he said on Kasapa FM.
Speaking on Kasapa FM’s morning political programme on matters arising from the Electoral Commission [EC] scandal, Mr. Kofi Aryeh indicated that he cannot understand why members of the NDC keep pointing fingers at the NPP government and accusing them of working towards the removal of the Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Charlotte Osei from office.
“How and why will we take such position when the matter is in court for redress based on our rule of law?” he asked.
