Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says his party is ready for the Special Prosecutor.
Koku Anyidoho says erstwhile appointees of the National Democratic Congress government did nothing wrong to be coerced by the appointment of the Special Prosecutor.
“First of all, we thank President Akufo Addo for signing the bill. It will go a long way in prosecuting corrupt officials. We the members of the NDC are not afraid of the special prosecutor and so we are ready for them.
The outspoken scribe of the NDC warned the party will use the same law to prosecute NPP appointees when the former comes into office.
“We will use that same law to prosecute them because we are not scared of them and I believe that we never indulged in corrupt acts when we were in power so there is no way to be afraid” he said on Adom FM Wednesday.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has given his assent to the Office of Special Prosecutor Bill passed by Parliament in November last year.
This kicks into action the processes to fully set up the Office to begin investigations and subsequent prosecution of corrupt public officials.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor, according to the government, will deal with issues of corruption, especially among state officials.
Under the act, an independent prosecutor will head the office.
But Anyidoho believes members of the past Mahama administration are ready to face the Special Prosecutor, an office he believes will also investigate and prosecute corrupt members of the NPP government as well.
He is asking Akufo-Addo government to focus also in fulfilment of election campaign to Ghanaians.

We all know that Koku is the worse when it comes NDC members not reading. Note, that the main campaign message that gave Nana about 30% of all the votes he got was the promise to curb corruption. This, he said will start by setting up the office of the special Prosecutor, which he has succeeded in doing despite all your antics. So by this alone Nana has fullfilled about 30% of his promises. Whether you guys fear or not is not our concern, we wait patiently or rather impatiently for the start of prosecutions. Definitely goodness will prevail over loooters!
Dzifa Ativor too? Is she among those who are not scared? I suppose the Special procecutor should start in a reverse chronological manner: with Mahama, Mills, Kuffour and Rawlings administrations in that order.
Stop being paranoid. The office is being set up to check corruption going forward. This is something which your party couldn't do and was against when the man mentioned it. What the heck are you afraid of if your hands are clean.Give us a break. My advise to you guys is to show remorse so as to receive reduced sentences. If you should show the same arrogance as when you were in power then get prepared to spend the rest of your life's in jail. Let me assure you NDC will only come to power when Ghanaians fill for change. Forget 2020 & 2024.
FOOOOOOLISH MAN NDC WILL NEVER EVER COME BACK TO POWER.DONT FORGET CPP . BAS====TARDS.N D C IS FINISHED FOR GOOD.I HAVE ORDERED SATAN TO DESTROY YOU INWARD LOOKING PARTY.
