Defeated General Secretary Aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has said he will still work hard to ensure victory for the party in the 2020 general elections in spite of his loss.
Mr Anyidoho was defeated by Mr Johnson Asideu Nketia in the just-ended 9th National Delegates Congress at the International Trade Fair Centre on Saturday, 17 November.
Mr Nketia, a three-time former MP for Wenchi West Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, from 1993 to 2000, who was first elected as General Secretary in 2008, polled 6,644 while Mr Anyidoho could only manage 1,655 votes.
In his concession speech minutes after the declaration of the result by officials of the Electoral Commission, Mr Anyidoho said: “Party first. It had to come to an end and it has come to an end. The delegates spoke and the Electoral Commission declared results and we have no option.
“In the name of the party, the supremacy of the party, I wish to say that we accept the results declared by the Electoral Commission.
“It is the victory we are looking for in 2020, and we are still committed to the fight. We will still be with the party, we shall work with the party and work hard. We need to find a strong horse for 2020 and that strong horse is a strong party, we are committed to a strong party.”

YES Koku party first and you're still in comfortable lead which will translate again into 2020 elections where your party will be comfortable lead again hahahahaha. You see your SMOOTHLESS LEVEL? NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU
Exactly what is your beef? In any race one needs to show off psychologically, which is an entire challenge on its own? Whether he needs to beg or not, is not your problem party first and that is exactly what he said...and that is what matters!!!
KOKU FOR ALL YOUR SHOW OF YOU HAVE TO BEG MAHAMA AND ASIEDU NKATIA TO GET A PLACE IN NDC FOR SUCH A WOEFULLY DEFEAT.
