Ishawu Yaro, the gentleman who was shot in the leg during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election is asking for Justice.
Yaro who is a footballer left home safe on 31st January 2019 to act as an observer for the by-elections but ended up in the hospital with a gunshot wound following violence that ensued at the residence of the then NDC Parliamentary candidate, Delali Brempong.
The Short Commission set to look into the violence on Friday went to the 37 Military Hospital where Yaro has been admitted, to hear his testimony since he was in no condition to appear before them at the Osu Castle.
Giving his testimony, he said: "I went to assist the party as an observer…I saw a lot of NDC people when I got there but I couldn’t identify them; I joined them and a few minutes later I saw a group of people approaching and they asked what are we doing here; we should leave the place.
Some answered that we are not at the polling station so why are they asking us to leave; suddenly there was an argument; then they started chasing some of our people and beating them; suddenly I heard gunshots, and the people started running for their lives. I saw them shooting straight into the crowd. I was just hearing gunshots and I started running, by the time I realized I was on the ground couldn’t get up; the next thing I saw was my leg hanging..."
In his concluding remarks, he pleaded with the commission to give him 'justice'
"The one who shot me is sitting enjoying somewhere...I have a family wife and children; my business; nothing is going on…how should I look after my family now; once this commission is for justice, I want justice to be done; I need justice to be done. My doctors are doing well but I am not sleeping at night. I used to cry like a baby….the only thing I need; I am begging the commission for justice; justice must be done"
Responding to this, Chairman of the Commission, Justice Emile Short said "we will do everything to ensure that justice is done, so take heart and be strong"
Meanwhile, the Commission has officially ended with its public hearing.

Non- sense, did he not see his family but opted to be NDC vigilante?
EMIL SHORT'S COMMISSION IS A GREAT LESSON TO ALL. IT SHOWS THAT GHANA HAS COME TO AN ERA WHERE TOP GOVERNMENT MINISTERS, POLICE ADMINISTRATORS, AND PARTY FUNCTIONARIES ARE MADE TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO THE PEOPLE. IT IS ALSO CLEAR TO ALL THAT IT IS STUPIIDDD FOR ANYBODY TO ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE USED BY SELFISHHH POLITICIANS TO DO THEIR DIRTY WORKS. IF THE NATIONAL SECURITY OPERATORS HAD NOT ACTED WITH CIRCUMSPECTION AND HAD USED THEIR GUNS ANYHOW THOSE NDC PARTY FOOTSOLDIERS WHO WERE BOUGHT FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY COULD HAVE DIED FOR NOTHING. IT IS INCOMPREHENSIBLE FOR REASONABLEEE PERSON TO TRANSPORT PEOPLE FROM AS FAR AS TAMALE AND OTHER ZONGOS TO BECOME OBSERVERS AT AYAWASO AS IT IS CLAIMED AT THE COMMISION, UNLESS SUCH NARRATIONS ARE LIES.NOBODY WHO HAS A LITTLE COMMON SENSE WILL NOT ALLOW HIMSELF TO BE USED IN THAT WAY. IT SEEM TO AFFIRM THE NOTION THAT THE ZONGO BOYS CAN BE USED ANYHOW. THEY COULD HAVE DIED FOR NOTHING. MANY OF THE CLAIMED TO PROVIDE SECURITY WHEN THEY HAVE NO SECURITY TRAINING. AND WHEN THEY REALISED THAT THERE WAS NO SENSEEE IN THEIR CLAIM THEY ABANDONED THEIR OWN POLICE STATEMENT TO ASSUME THE STATUS OF OBSERVER FOR WHICH THEY HAD NO ACCREDITATION. THE STUPIDITYY OF THEIR CLAIMS AND THEIR INCOHERENT LIES GIVE CREDENCE TO THE INTELLIGENCE GATHERED BEFORE THE OPERATION THAT THE HAWK BOYS AND THE OTHER NDC TAGS HAD BEEN SPONSORED TO CAUSE DESTRUCTION TO THE ELECTION. THANK GOD IT WAS NIB IN THE BUD. I HOPE MANY ZONGO YOUNG MEN WILL CHERISH THEIR OWN LIVES AND MAKE THEIR FAMILIES HAPPY BY DISALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BE USED FOR DIRTY POLITICS.
stupi?d 1d1o?t. u go to look for job for someone's father when you know you are also a father. are u not an 1d10?t. u should rather ask the commission to thank God on your behalf for sparing your life. mahama told u guys to go and do boot for boot and u sheepishly did whiles his kids are enjoying. now urs are suffering. again doesnt that make u a f0000!l? in fact you are f000!l.I wish u speedy recovery.
Next time when politicicians ask you to go and do the "boot for boot" remember your wife, children and family before you f00lishly go and fight. How come all those who were assaulted at Ayawaso bore names from one particular community outside Ayawaso? The Azorka who brought them is still chilling with his wife and children. JM and the MP are all enjoying their wives while their children are cooling off abroad. See where you are, crying for justice? Those who live by he sword die by the sword. The youth should begin to think.
I nearly threw up with laughter looking at this f0=01 demanding justice. Carefully coached and directed to put up a performance worthy of an Oscar. Justice indeed. When, you allow yourself to be used by d1$honest politician to cause trouble without thinking of your so called wife, children, mother and father, don't come demanding justice. He should be lucky he got his life back. I pray and wish he has more complications from his operation and have both legs amputated to serve a lesson to all the youth especially those in our zongos, to be wise and not end up like this chap.
What type if justice us he talking about, justice from the commission or what go to court if you need justice. Who told you to go there is Ayawaso your constituency and did you know motor bikes were band from the area,it's like the commission was set up for the ndc,why are they talking too much so they thought they could misbehave in Ghana and have their way?he should see his masters and ask them for justice ,next time when they send you to do their bidding ride on motor bikes and break the laws of the land and you will be shot by the security operators! don't eye what happened at Kumase where those Asawase guys were shot they are 2 different things! ndc went to disrupt the elections whereas those Kumasi guys did nothing wrong, they were at a different location on a different day! but you went there purposely to harm Ghanaians so no justice for you you got what you were going to do to others back! you were paid back on your on coin! Go to your Headquarters and let Ofosu Ampofo and Asiedu Nketiah give you justice you worked for them and you want who to give you justice? I don't know what type of report this commission is going to give since ndc went there to lie under oath!
