Deputy Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Williams Kwasi Sabi seems to have confirmed the NDC's claim that the ruling party is constructing dugouts instead of dams as promised during the 2016 elections.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the government’s '1 Village 1 Dam' (1V1D) promise is deceptive and that they are not fit for purpose.
The NPP, however, denied this allegation.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM's midday news, the Deputy Minister who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Dormaa East constituency, said it is true that some of the villages have dugouts instead of dams; however there is an explanation.
