The incumbent member of parliament for North Tongu, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has pledged to serve his constituents better and has, therefore, urged them to expect nothing less from him.
Mr Ablakwa expressed his appreciation, via his Facebook page, to the NDC delegates for voting for him as the party’s parliamentary candidate for the 2020 election.
“I do not take your overwhelming confidence in me lightly. Indeed, it imposes on me a higher obligation and a call to serve you better than I have ever done – you should expect nothing less from me. I am grateful to the Almighty. 🙏🙏🙏 Bless you all,” the post read.
Mr Ablakwa polled 1,043 votes beating his only contender William Adagbo who managed a paltry 35 votes.
