A former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin, has questioned individuals most especially the people of the Asante Kingdom to pinpoint in a communiqué issued by former Chief of Staff to Ex-President John Dramani Mahama, Julius Debrah where he ‘insulted’ the overlord of the kingdom.
The Asante Youth Association has condemned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what they described as attempts to use their ‘political gains’ to destroy the Asante Kingdom.
Their comments come on the back of a press statement released by the office of the former President denying the involvement of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in his decision to concede defeat in the 2016 polls.
Contrary to what Otumfuo Osei Tutu II stated in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, that the palace had to intervene to persuade the losing candidate to accept defeat, Mr Mahama says he conceded defeat on his own accord.
Joseph Yamin who is a native of Kumasi has jumped in defense of his party’s flagbearer in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
He was emphatic that the former President did not in any sentence of his communiqué affront Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

It is rather sad that a political party in opposition desperately yearning to come back to power seem to be rather doing everything to remain in opposition. Sometimes in life it is wise to remain silent.
To come out publicly to say the Asantehene's statement is inaccurate and that what he said is untrue is the worst ever insult. Even if by way of argument the Asantehene spoke a lie, there could have been a better way to communicate to him. Note ultimately the Asantehene was outlying the usefulness of chieftaincy towards mantaining peace between politicians and no one will dispute the peace role played by the Asantehene in the affairs of Ghana.
OH, SO THIS THING TOO IS TALKING? O#FU#I LIKE THAT. AAAAH!
The moron has spoken again
THIS IS AMPLE PROOF THAT YAMIN WHO IS OF FULANI EXTRACTION DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE ASANTE/AKAN CULTURE THAT HE CLAIMS HE IS ACCUSTOMED TO. THE FACT THAT YAMIN HAS BEEN LIVING AND PROBABLY WAS BORN IN THE ASHANTI REGION IS STILL CLUELESS AND HAS A LOT TO LEARN BEFORE HE OPENS HIS BIG MOUTH AND MAKE A ***barred word*** OF HIMSELF!YAMIN JUST LIKE ANY OF THE NDC BOZOS MUST ***barred word*** BEFORE HE IS DECLARED PERSONA NON GRATA!
