The issue of overstretched register, only exists in the mind of Jean Mensa according to the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
If you may recall, the Electoral Commission of Ghana had indicated that even though the current voters' register is credible, it is overstretched; hence their decision to change it.
However, General Mosquito as the NDC kingpin is popularly called in an interaction on UTV's Adekye Nsroma, Friday, says: "overstretched is not in any election dictionary; except in Jean Mensa's head; there is nothing like overstretched register"

I just want to advice ndc freely that the incorruptible savior Nehemiah Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo is working so hard so please stop the demonstration and concentrate on your manifesto for the time is not on your side to convince Ghanaians to vote for you. Whoever advice you to go on this demo doesn't like you and your party. Now I decree like the Jews said NEVER AGAIN TO NDC. NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU, NDC YAAMUTU
mo ma yen aso enko adiadi wai. whether there is an understretched, midstretched, semistretched, overstretched, extrastretched or nostretched register or not there SHALL be a new register. Let the very people you're touting to bring you back to power in 2020 go and register and fulfill your wildest dreams for you. mo gyae nsem huunu no.
NOW NDC AND THEIR PSEUDO PARTIES KNOW VERY WELL THAT THE NEW SYSTEM OF EC WOULD POSE A SIGNIFICANT CHECK TO ANY FRAUDULENT ATTEMPT TO INTERFERE WITH THE TRUE EXPRESSION OF THE PEOPLE DECISION. THE DEMONSTRATIONS ONLY EXPRESS THEIR FEAR OF INABILITY TO RIG. THEY HAVE NOT SHOWN IN ANYWAY HOW THE NEW SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE. THEY ARE NOT READY TO SUGGEST ANYTHING TO ENHANCE THE PREPARATION OF THE NEW REGISTER. THEY ONLY OPPOSE IT FOR NO TANGIBLE REASONS. THEIR ACTIONS EXPOSE THEIR EVIL PRACTICES IN THE PREVIOUS ELECTIONS WHICH THE NEW SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO. THE EARLY THEY STOP BETRAYING THEMSELVES THE BETTER. GHANAIANS ARE NOT SO STUPIDDDDD AS THEY MIGHT THINK. EVERY GENUINE AND SMART PERSON KNOWS WHAT IS BEHIND THEIR FEARS AND RESISTANCE. LIGHT SHALL ALWAYS OVERCOME DARKNESS.
What a confused chartered Accountant! he doesn't even know where he is and if such a person is an accountant then Ghana has a problem. He ssid the EC must respect the citizens which citizens is he talking about the ndc demonstrators? tweeeeaaa ! do you people think Ghana has time for us*eless opposition? an opposition with no solution, an opposition with no alternative, an opposition with no clue but demonstrations and yabi yabi on radio apuuuuuu! the EC will not listen to people with no sense but critical thinkers with alternative! I listened to Ayaricough and a radio host and he said because npp did the same thing in opposition that's why they are doing that what bufoons they are ?ndc will rot in opposition if these are the people they will rely on to govern Ghana! Kai, chai !
So far the stance that NDC has taken on the issue of the compilation of New register, makes NDC suspicious of something best known to the NDC-self. I think Ghanaians are awake enough to realize that NDC's strategy had always been like, first, use all means at hand whether false or diabolic to obtain the political power and when we fail to satisfy the electorates with good Governance and development which we have least planned for, we resort to kleptocracy to maintain power. Then, NDC has no message to convince and win the confidence of the electorates, that they really have what it takes to better lead them (electorates) to Ghana beyond aid. To date, no visionary message from the NDC side is known to Ghanaians. Now, to use the overstretched or credible voters' register as an issue to discredit the good EC-Boss is unfortunate for a General Secretary of the big NDC to do so. It is, indeed, intellectually poor for the good Secretary to expect the intelligent Lady, good Jean to say the Register is not credible when the same had given us able and respected Presidents. The good lady insists, though the register is credible yet she wants to technically update it. For the whole General Secretary of the big NDC to rely on that as the basis for an argument against the Lady only depicts frustration and incompetence.
IF THE EC INSIST THEY WILL GO AHEAD WITH THE NEW VOTER REGISTER THEN I WILL ADVICE THEM NOT TO CRATE ANY PROTOCOL WINDOW FOR JOURNALIST AND SOME PEOPLE TO REGISTER AHEAD OF THE MASSES. PROTOCOL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO ONLY DISABLE PERSONS, PREGNANT WOMEN, THE AGED POLICE OFFICERS, SOLDIERS PARLIAMENTARIANS AND PROVIDERS OF ESSENTIAL SERVICES. THE REST OF US EITHER RICH OR POOR TALL OR SHORT MUST GO THROUGH THE PROCESS EVEN IF IT WILL TAKE THE WHOLE DAY. IF THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST SOME SECTION OF THE SOCIETY WE SHALL GO TO THE HUMAN RIGHT COURT TO STOP THEM. WE ALL GHANAIANS EQUALLY AND WE ALL HAVE ONE VOTE.
Registration and voting are NOT COMPULSORY. If you are tired of queuing and registering, just get some "thisway chocolate drink", cross your legs and chill out. Let those interested go register and vote on your behalf? The committed Ghanaians will work for the lazy ones who cannot que to register.
By law you are right, we all know. But is the timing right? This thing should have been done last year. I was taught at the University, that one must accept and undertake positive NPV projects. That is the general rule. However, at the professional level in CIMA, I was taught that the fact that a project shows a positive NPV does not necessarily mean it must be undertaken. Other factors must be considered in addition to the positive NPV. If for instance, we would need to exploit labour or damage the environment badly we must reject the project though it has a positive NPV. So EC, by law you are right, but is the timing good? The voter registration should have been done last year and tested against the last District Assembly Election. People just queued recently in the Sun to obtain Ghana Card, do you think it would be advisable to let them queue again to obtain another ID card? Respect the citizens

NDC NDC NDC, THE EC is mandated to do whatever they are doing now. they have asked for funds to execute that and they will do it. no one or group of people can deter them from doing so. if they don't do what they have received the money for, it will amount to financial loss to the state and she could go to jail for that. And you think she will want that? Grow-up and use intelligent people to run your party for us to benefit from intelligent brains. why do you always go back-wards while the whole nation is going forward? From your president to the last foot soldier, there is no single person capable of engaging Ghanaians intellectually. Even at the painful loss of the election by NPP to Mahama of which NDC stole my injecting about 320,000 people, the NPP went to court and provided the evidence amidst pink sheets upon pink sheets, the intelligent approach why can't you do same.
