General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has described as woefully pathetic, the Akufo-Addo led NPP government's commitment to the fight against bribery and corruption in the country.
According to him, the recent Corruption Perception Index (CPI) report, has shredded into pieces President Akufo-Addo's much-acclaimed incorruptible tag, making him the country's worst leader in the fight against the menace.
Speaking on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, the NDC Chief Scribe touted ex-President John Dramani Mahama's record in the fight against corruption describing it as the best among all five Presidents under the 4th Republic.
“....ex-President Mahama is closely followed by the late President Atta Mills and the rest follow in that order…President Mahama’s record is outstanding in the fight against corruption; it is the best of all as compared to all the Presidents' performance including President Akufo-Addo in the 4th Republic. President Mahama takes lead,”.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia believed it will bode well for the NPP and the country for that matter, should the government humbly acknowledge its inaptitude and helplessness in dealing with corruption so the NDC can proffer solutions to deal with the canker.
“...the government has failed woefully in the fight against corruption. All the incooruptible accolades heaped Nana Addo has turned out to be a sham...Everybody knows the corruption records in the country but my worry is that the same people who held a particular set of statistics on the corruption perception index that we (NDC) were corrupt yesterday are giving a different interpretation to the same figures the next day. This shows their vain posture,” he slammed.

For an ex-president whose wife (who has not done any meaningful job in her life) owns an estate around the Trade Fair and you incompetent GS can say they are incorruptible beats my imagination. The NDC should know that we are not kids or sub-human. Their deeds, manner of speaking and posture will keep them in opposition for a very long time.
eeeiiiiiiiiiiiii !!!!! MADA KORAAAA
Wow! Really I'm seriously surprised by Aseidu's statement. Eeei, God has mercy on this our country ooo, do we have honest leaders at all Hmm!! so all that happened in Mahama's time if you say he is on top as far fighting corruption is concern then pls Ghanaians we are better off if we allow under 18 years to rule over us oooo. What kind country koraaa is this!! O God of heaven
In 2016 Ghana scored 40. that is what they handed over to the current government. While I was expecting more from Nana, NDC cannot turn round to say they did better because they once had 45. What happened after that? we moved to 40.
LIVING IN DENIAL OF REALITY JOHNNY
Probably the word you intended to use was "Astounding" and not "Outstanding". How can you even compare JM with anybody? We do not have short memory like you said oo. At least we remember Bus branding, we remember Bauxite to brother, we remember RLG sakawa, we remember Saglemi housing project, we remember Guinea fowls and afforestation ***barred word***, at least we remember the Ford.
If the abysmal performance of Mahama appears as "outstanding" in the eyes of the NDC, then their place should not only be in opposition. They deserve to be permanently locked up in OPPOSITION in a DUSTBIN and confined into HELL!
when will this man talk anything seeeeensible at his age. We were in Ghana when ONAPO invested in Guinea Fowls which flew to Burkina Faso and you out of no respect for Ghanaians telling us this.Where is RLG company. A create looooot and Share company.
