Broadcast journalist with Despite Media, Afia Pokua has reasons to speculate that the fate of the winner of the upcoming 2020 elections will be decided by the Supreme Court looking at how issues are turning up.
Speaking on her evening show on Okay FM dubbed 'Egyaso Gyaso', Vim Lady as she is popularly known in the media asserted that with the back and forth coupled with the entrenched position of the NDC in the compilation of a new voter register, if the 2020 election results do not go their way the Supreme Court will be the final arbitrator.
“If things get worse, the 2020 elections may go to the Supreme Court for settlement. With what is going on with the NDC, you see that they boycotted IPAC meeting . . . you saw what went on?
“They issued a statement that they won’t attend the IPAC meeting and true to their word they boycotted. If care is not taken, a number of issues will come up for the Supreme Court to determine even before we go to the polls to elect our leaders,” she claimed.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in alliance with other political parties and Civil Society groups are not in support of the decision by the Electoral Commission (EC) to compile a new voters' register before the 2020 polls.
The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is again accusing the Electoral Commission of being in bed with the governing NPP as the latter supports the move by the EC on the use of passport and Ghana card as the only form of identification to get registered.

My Godess, VIM LADY, don't join this bandwagon. Please. ... The same way as nobody tells you how to do your job, do not purport to tell others to do theirs. Please, remain 'hard-hittingly' neutral.
As far back as 2013 after the marathon court case, someone made a comment that the NDC have never ever won a fair election in Ghana and that they only win by foul means due to a compromised voters register. The person went on to cite cases where the supposed votes cast within a constituency where the NDC won, were more than the registered voters in the constituency (this was later repeated by Kwasi Pratt on Kokrokoo). One is therefore minded to state that all these agitations about the voters register by the NDC points to the fact that should Ghana have a credible voters register, then there is the likelihood that the NDC will remain in opposition for a very very long time indeed. It is this fear which is driving their agitations because up to date nothing that they say and do make convinces any logical fair minded person.
Our Supreme Court is our THUMB!! We will vote and change the disappointing change!!! Ghana will revert to her glory days after December!!
The EC is confidently going to conduct a credible 2020- election and declare a winner of the 2020-election. We have no business to wait for the NDC to chose his own referee before we can go for a credible match and declare a credible winner. That Bouga Bouga politics is past and gone forever with the exit of JJ Rawlings in active politics in Ghana and it is high time the NDC came in terms with that, period!
