Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa is asking government whether the University of Ghana Medical Center, (UGMC) where the health minister received his COVID-19 treatment is also a delusion.
According to him, government is publicly rubbishing the hard work and efforts by the past Mahama-led administration but secretly reaping its benefits.
“The health minister is my good friend and I’ve wished him a speedy recovery publicly on twitter, Facebook and all over but where did he go for his Covid treatment? Isn’t it University of Ghana Medical Centre? Is that also a fantasy project?” he asked.
Speaking on Okay FM’s morning show, Mr Okudzeto indicated that the NPP is pretending not to see and give the necessary acknowledgment to the NDC for their unprecedented infrastructural development initiatives.
“In one breath you tell Ghanaians it's NPP’s project and that we don’t deserve credit. In another breath, you tell everyone you’re finishing NDC’s project. Which is which? Let’s respect the data. Let’s be sincere and truthful. This attempt to take out NDC’s contribution is bad.
Background
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the commissioning of the Tema Motorway Interchange described claims by NDC that it undertook unprecedented infrastructural development, including roads, as a mere fantasy that was contained in the Green Book of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“We made a pledge to the Ghanaian people to expand and improve the road network while closing the missing links in the network. We had to make this pledge because we know that the so-called unprecedented infrastructure development of the Mahama administration was fantasy; existing in the Green Book and not on the ground,” President Akufo-Addo said when he inaugurated the $57-million Tema Motorway Interchange project that is being financed by the government of Japan through the Japanese International Cooperation Agreement (JICA),” he stated.

RAAAAAAT, AKUURA
Gato don't throw dust to our eye. The hospital was built by the university. The university went to collect the loan by themselves, gave the contract to the contractor by the university. The mere fact that it was built during the time of the NDC doesn't mean the NDC did it.
NPP didn't say they won't use it. Just a reminder to NDC, they vowed in 2008 that when they win power, they will use the Jubilee House as a Poultry Farm. After winning the election, they moved in to use as the seat of Government. Double Standards.
besides the hospital wasn't complete npp had to come and complete it and make it habital
Is it true Nana Addo is claiming the Tema motorway is their project? Is the NPP serious at all? In less than 4yrs, they can just lied about this project that started b4 they came to power in 2016? How come the NPP is now sounding like projects are good ventures for any government in power when the same NPP was asking we Ghanaians if we will eat road? Bawumia now vice presidio promised that the NPP will put money into our pockets. We are in the fourth term of the NPP yet our pockets are more empty than we can imagine. Big liars...!!!
Samuel Ablakwa, the NPP govt has never said anywhere that the UGMC is a fantasy. After all isn't is so visible for aall to see? However truth be told that most of the things NDC claims to have done in the green book wch I have a copy is indeed not in existence. Am wondering how Ghana will be like in 20 years if propaganda is still hoisted as a campaign message by a political party when a lot Ghanaians had become so enlightened.
