Former Municipal Chief Executive for Akuapem North and a member of the NPP Communication Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye has alleged that some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have defected to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his constituency (Akuapem North).
His comment comes on the back of the dismissal of the former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Bernard Allotey Jacobs, and suspension of Koku Anyidoho and Stephen Atubiga.
Miracle who was contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's The Platform programme said "it is not only Allotey Jacobs and Koku Anyidoho who have concerns" with what is going on in the party and that "the biggest is in the constituencies...in my constituency alone almost 180 members of the NDC have defected to the NPP because of John Mahama"

Why is npp and their guys so worried about Mr mahama if Mr mahama is a weak candidate wait and take advantage of him after he is selected but the way npp guys are so afraid I think Mr mahama is so popular and strong to beat in 2024 so ndc don't change him for anybody because he will win de 2024 elections massively
We are watching NDC come of age and has taken-off the NDC-propaganda politicking-glasses. They can now appreciate their own NDC from the plain sight of facts, devoid of biases, diabolism, lies and the staged party polemics, dating back from, as it were, the old good days of the PNDC era. The case in question is the 100-exodus and Allotey & co. The lesson is the whole Party hierachy should learn to come in terms with present reality. The reality of a society which had politically grown into a powerhouse of making informed choices and hence give preference to competence, their wellbeing and the virtues of the democratic dispensation. Thus, the election machine of deceit, vote rigging and baseless propaganda has no future in present day Ghana. This last term of the present administration of President Akufo-Addo is going to be the icing on the cake in terms of making Ghanaians aware of how much they had missed under the NDC poor governace of rampant greed and corruption.
