Broadcaster and host of Metro TV’s political show “Good Evening Ghana”, Paul Adom-Otchere has taken a swipe at the General Secretary of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
Paul Adom-Otchere, on his show, engaged in a political analysis about who becomes the flagbearer to lead the NDC into the 2024 general elections.
Following the analysis, Mr. Asiedu Nketia, in an interview on Asempa FM on Tuesday, described Paul Adom-Otchere as a “village lotto forecaster who is analyzing lotto numbers", as published by Ghanaweb.
“I have seen some analysis on Metro TV by Paul Adom-Otchere. Whenever I see it, I see it as someone who is working for lotto numbers. How can you pair Asiedu Nketia, John Mahama, Bagbin . . . like a village lotto forecaster . . . the analysis is not scientific,” Asiedu Nketia said.
Reacting to the NDC Chief Scribe’s comments, Paul Adom-Otchere emphasized that since he began his show for over two decades, he has never attracted a single legal suit which, to him, is indicative of him doing the right things.
Paul Adom-Otchere further explained that his political analysis on his show was a “scholarly political analysis from the stables of Cicero” and therefore refuted claims that his statements were aimed at sowing discord in the NDC.
He also schooled the NDC General Secretary on what he means by “scholarly political analysis from the stables of Cicero”.
“Asiedu Nketia, do you understand that? Maybe because he studied administration at Legon School of Admin, he is not familiar with this.
“That is not lotto, maybe the only forecast Asiedu Nketia knows is lotto but that is analysis. He, himself, used the word ‘analysis’ so we are analyzing; we do not know who the NDC will select and we didn’t say here that we had spoken to any NDC guy. We are accustomed to doing that but you can call it lotto forecasting, if that is what you know. We put out the thesis, we anticipate the antithesis and we put out the synthesis,” he stressed.

Beware of the Party called NDC for the vicious lies and propaganda as it's solely embarked on falsehood to win political power. NDC lacks the ability to debate intellectually issues of national interest. As well as lacks the competence and the visionary leadership to craft policies to solve economic problems. This deficit is made evident of its desperate attempt to run the ruling Party NPP down by all foul means. Furthermore, it is worthwhile to note how NDC is messing up with the current favorable constellation of the numbers in Parliament. Look everywhere and name it, and you would bear with me, the NDC finds it very difficult to make any headway.
Asiedu Nkestia referring to your program as lotto forcast, he has been very lenient with you. He should have used the word sakawa, since you are one of them. What is your program? Why don't you discuss who leads your party but are quick to talk about the NDC.
