Former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, Brigadier Joseph Nunoo-Mensah seems to have given up on Ghana’s development and the opportunity to create jobs under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The former retired soldier is worried that the majority of the youth are unemployed despite numerous promises by this Nana Akufo-Addo-led government to create jobs.
Brigadier Joseph Nunoo-Mensah who was discussing the excessive youth unemployment on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ expressed his disappointment in the current administration.
To him, Ghana has never experienced such privation for a very long time until recently.
“I have never seen Ghana as hard as this,” the former military capo said.
He said sooner or later the “desperate” youth will rise against government as seen in other African countries.
“The desperation is coming from so many areas,” he noted.

You have never earned a living before all you have been doing is living off government dole. Now you are retired and your NDC cronies cannot steal and pass you crumbs you now say Ghana is hard. Hurry up and Die and leave us in peace.
Was this not the man who said if the kitchen is hot you should grab your travel documents and get out??
Ei, why do journalists choose to interview people who are unable to provide ideas and solutions to our problems and challenges? Papa wei paa? Seems he's used to freebies he enjoyed in the P(NDC) era. Why wouldn't he get out if the kitchen is too hot as he once said.
If the kitchen is too hot for you get out! I saw 1977 and 1983 those were Ghana's hardest moment in my recollection. ironically in 1983 you were the CDS and you finally abandoned the Government and fled. You are now trying to instigate the army to remove the Government. By your inferences you are undermining our democracy. Knowing very well that the World has witnessed a Pandemic never seen in our life time.
When you were in power as a coordinator of human security and people were complaining about hardship in the country, your answer to youth unemployed especially graduate unemployed group was that if they can't stand the heat they should pick up their passport and get out of the country. What has changed now?
Brig. Nunoo Mensah is seeking to reconnect with Dr. Duffuor for his stance against the youthful unemployment in the country. For my taste, it is a loose and dishonest political statement whose purpose is singular to serve his solidarity with Duffuor's stance against Mahama's non-political message campaign. Then, it is not factual that the present administration has done less than its predecessors in solving youth unemployment. I think he is disappointingly not being bold as a former soldier, to name the wrong.

so why is everybody being a cynic? preaching hopelessness and wishing for doomsday. why don't they preach inspiration, directions to take advantage of opportunities, farming opportunities, form cooperatives to apply for credit to do farming?
Heeeeer! This man can l-i-e oooooooo! Ei! Brigadier Ebi so you dey? Harder than when you betrayed your fellow officers during the Rawllings' send coup? As an old man, you don't do this. Stop it wai.
Forgotten when you were serving the NDC, you once said those who cannot bear the heat should lace their boots and leave the country. A soldier is always a soldier. What are you waiting for? Equally lace your boot, find your passport, if it is dirty, clean it and head straight to the boarders of Ghana? Away bus - for greener pastures?
