Today, the 29th day of March, 2022, would certainly be remembered in the annals of history as one of the most blessed days in the life of our dear motherland, Ghana. The day did not only witness the grand commissioning of the first-ever modern interchange in the over 65 years history of Northern Ghana, the Tamale interchange, the day also witnessed the successful passage of the electronic levy, which is said to be the game-changer in Ghana’s economic transformation paradigm in the wake of the global economic crisis, occasioned by Covid-19, and aggravated by the Russia-Ukraine war.
As if that was not enough, the day also saw the qualification of Ghana’s Senior National Football Team, the Black Stars, to the Qatar 2022 World Cup, by beating our arch rivals, Nigeria. It is humbly submitted that these historic feats happening on the same day in the life of our dear country cannot be a mere coincidence but a divine intervention, and considering the fact that today is the birthday of the President of the Republic, it is not out of place to say that these historic developments are a God-sanctioned 78th BIRTHDAY PRESENT to the First Gentleman of the Republic, and by extension, to the rest of the country.
The NPP equally proudly identifies with this divine celebration and blessing for our hard working President and our country. His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is indeed deserving of this great honour, having greatly acquitted himself on delivering on his mandate to the Ghanaian people, and to God. He is that President who chooses the national interest over all considerations; chooses country over self; chooses country over family; chooses country over presidency; chooses country over his political party; and ultimately, chooses the interest of the next generation over the undesirable expediencies of the current generation.
The NPP, and, indeed, the rest of the country, cannot pride itself with a better selfless and transformational leader whose leadership has impacted every facet of our National Life, from Health, to Education, to Sports, to Infrastructure Development; to Agriculture, and the Economy. Mr. President, your birthday has indeed been well deservedly celebrated in vindication of your life-changing achievements and legacies.
Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. PRESIDENT, and may you continue to blossom in thy grace.
…Signed…
JOHN BOADU
GENERAL SECRETARY

If you are thinking of applying for a Ghana passport or renewing your expired Ghana Passport through the Ghana passport premium application Centre located at the Accra digital centre, Ring Road West, Accra, then please forget it, they are not reliable, they will disappoint you and tell you all sorts of stories after they have taken your money. On 1st March 2022, I paid an amount of GHs 410 to the Ghana Passport through the Ghana passport premium application Centre for what they described as expedited passport processing fee (48 pages)after going through the processes -filling forms and biometrics and I was told by their officers to come for my renewed passport after 15 working days. I was at the Ghana passport premium application centre on the 22nd of March 2022 (after 15 working days)to collect the new passport so that I could rush to the embassy of my destination country the next week to begin visa acquisition processes as I needed to travel urgently. To my surprise I was told my passport wasn't ready after paying a whopping GHs 410 for fast tracked passport processing. I went back there on several occasions and it was still the same old story" your passport is not ready" Now I have lost the opportunity to travel to meet investors who have travelled from different parts of the world for our in person meeting. The meeting had to be cancelled because I was the key person and I couldn't travel because the Ghana passport premium centre has still not honoured its side of the contact as they promised to fast track my passport processing, so I have no passport. What hurts the most is the impression that has been left on the minds of these foreign investors that I had invited to this important meeting in Europe: Either Ghana is not a serious country or I cannot be taken seriously and they cannot do business with me, so sad. But this is also the same story of hundreds of other Ghanaians that I met at the Ghana passport premium application centre many of whom have vowed to sue the centre and the Ministry of foreign affairs after they had also been disappointed. A clear breach of contract and yes I even have the officials of the premium centre on my phone's camera insisting that I pay the money and my passport will be ready in 15 working days. Yes I have the video. We are ready for the courts now so get prepared, Ghana passport premium application Centre.
