The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has charged members and supporters of the party not to allow their opponents define what they do but rather set the narrative for them.
The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) urged supporters of the party to be proactive in their campaign for victory in the 2024 elections.
Speaking at the national TESCON conference in Kasoa in the Central Region on Thursday, 7th April, Mr. Awuku said the government "has moved the nation from the shackles of poverty we inherited from the John Mahama administration onto the path of progress and prosperity”.
He said, “In 2024, it’s important that we tell ourselves from today that we own the campaign and the victory for 2024. So let’s move away from allowing our opponents to define us and set the narrative. Let’s move away from people calling you to ask you if you are listening to this radio station or watching this TV."
“Our government, we’ve done enough, but the biggest obstacle between us and 2024 is how we shape the narrative for victory in 2024. I want to appeal to your conscience, emotions and what we do; let’s not leave the project for just President Akufo-Addo. Let’s own the project ourselves.”
“I am happy that the National Youth Wing and the Danquah Institute decided to give us this platform. As we see each other and shale hands, I want to encourage you; from today, let the narrative be different,” he said.

Hahahaaaa, your stomach is full , 2024 is drawing closer so you now know the importance of party supporters. What so called politicians of today are failing to realize is that the era of Nkrumah, Busia and Limann brand of politics is over. Sammy Awuku, be frank to yourself, fact is, your life has changed for the better since NPP came to power, looking at your age the wealth you have amassed today but for politics where will you get that much, now can same be said about the party youth some of whom walked long distances to communities to serve as party agents in 2016? In 2016 NPP did not buy vehicles for the campaign because the party was poor then, are you aware individual party supporters volunteered their pick ups and motorbikes to assist in the campaign, are you aware some party supporters bought fuel at filling stations where party supporters drew fuel to meet your campaign convoys into the constituencies? Are you aware it was party supporters financial contributions that resulted in the construction of constituency and some regional party offices? Today what have those people gained now that their party is in power? Some are worse off today than they were in 2016. If Kufuor and his appointees were behaving like we are seeing now, will akuffo Addo have come to meet a solid NPP party to ride on to victory? The fact that Akuffo Addo led by 49% in the first round of the 2008 elections tells you NPP was still popular after 8 years in power, thanks to kufour and his appointees who never fogot that it's the NPP that put them in the positions they occupied. Today's NPP leadership is walking and not looking back to see if the supporters are following, for every step kufour and his appointees took, they looked back. Kufour's elephant had big ears and listened a lot, akuffo Addo's elephant also have big ears, unfortunately it doesn't listen, at best it hears but won't listen. Happenings in the current parliament is enough evidence that the NPP we know is not the current NPP we are seeing under Akuffo addo. Lastly but not the least. I know for sure Sammy Awuku has no biological child who is 18 years old or above, the legal age for voting in Ghana, you are talking of 'breaking the 8 ' so who's 18 year old are you expecting to queue to break the 8 for you? 2024 Atinga b3 yiri Atinga. 169 out of 275 in opposition with no power, now in power for 4 years 169 drops to 137, do you need a rocket scientist to tell you your house is on fire, Hahahaaaa, current NPP de3, dabi
