Host of Peace FM's morning panel discussion programme 'Kokrokoo', Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately called Chairman General, has advocated for a 'dictatorial' rule for Ghana in order for the populace to be disciplined and the country to progress.
To Kwami Sefa Kayi, the democracy Ghana is practicing is not useful for the nation.
He made this argument while assessing the behavior of the citizenry and the underperformance of the leadership towards the development of Ghana.
While moderating the Thursday edition of the show with a panel in the persons of Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah, a Governance Lecturer at the Central University, and the Member of Parliament for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh, there were concerns over some residents at Weija erecting buildings at buffer zones in the area.
The panelists wondered why the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area has overlooked the buildings which have been erected at unauthorized places and discussed the difficulties in demolishing them.
Aside this issue, there were concerns over some other unauthorized activities of Ghanaians, which when the authorities begin to act accordingly to bring the culprits to book, there is a political play against those who want the right thing to be done.
In view of this, Chairman General came to a conclusion that Ghana is ''a crime scene. The whole country is a crime scene!''
To him, "the democracry we are practicing today won't help us" and believed the only way the country will experience the change it needs; "we need a benevolent dictator".

I support this 200%
Kwame Sefa Kayi you don't have same. Corrupt journalist now turn a politician. You scorn Mahama but been bought by npp government. No you sit there and talk anyhow and even brought the president to laugh at Voltatian chiefs
Fine idea but not from NPP or NDC; it won't work. Ghanaians should think outside the box.
After selling your credibility and bought by the npp government you can sit down and talk anyhow. Mere journalist who has become corrupt and a politician. A journalist who bring the president to his radio program to laugh at his own votarian chiefs because of what is been paid to him from the npp government.
There is no doubt that people will have divided opinions on what Kwame Sefa is advocating for. But if you look at the state of the nation, the level at which it has been disorganized at the moment, and the behavior of we "black people," especially the people in leadership, we definitely need a hard leader ( dictator) to lead and rescue us from this mess. West African countries are far behind when in terms of development because we are very indiscipline, our cities are disorganized and the level of lawlessness is now overbearing. If we want to be counted among civilized nations in the world then the way forward if dictatorship. I mean, a no ***barred word*** leader who will steer us forward. I am not blaming NDC or NPP for this but for now this is what we need. Democracy must wait for after we are able to fix the country. No amount of publicity or advertisement can attract foreign investors than fixing the country to and making sure that the citizens and foreign investors are safe.
Kwame Sefa Kayi has been blinded by the huge allowance from board of director membership. He was one of the persons talking about how a coup is evil when some individuals posited that the current economic environment coupled with higher perceptions of governmental corruption was recipe for a coup. Yet when the elected tyranny of Nana is been pointed to him, he comes to make this confused analysis. So during whose turn should the constitution be suspended and a tyrant like nana continue indefinitely or a new dictator takes over?
Ask kwame, how u will install that benevolent dictator?Nsemhunu from someone who should know better.
So Kwame how do we bring in that benevolent dictator if i may ask you. Or as a country we will decide to vote for one person and give him the power that he/she must rule till till. If we stop the politics and think about Ghana first we will develop as a nation. Let stop the selfish thinking. Think about the effect of your action and inaction on the other person. Lets think Ghana like Trump said America First, so Ghana must be First in our thinking. God have Mercy on us
I agree with chairman general 100%. We have to revisit the concept of UNION GOVERNMENT Acheampong tried to implement but didn't get the needed support. Our winner takes all governance breeds corruption, greed, sabotage and tribalism.
