Thanks Ken ,Ghana need reforms
I want to educate the illiterates in the NDC about aid and credit. If you borrow money from an entity or anybody, it does not mean you have received aid because you have been credited with the principal amount and you are obliged to pay it back plus its opportunity cost, which is the agreed interest. It is not easy to be credit-worthy. You have to prove your mark of being credit-credible before your creditors offer you a loan. Thus, having the ability to pay back the credit on agreed terms. Ghana's beyond aid policy means transforming your economy such that you become productive and trade-off your products to sustain your livelihood, in simple terms. I do not believe the NDC is so creditworthy that it would have been entrusted by the creditors with the current debt level to manage.
@Gideon, do you mean Ghanaians are good but their leaders are bad? There can never be a society with good people but bad leaders. Bad society produces bad leadership. The character of most Ghanaians is what the leaders display and until we all accept the fact that Ghana belongs to us, show our patriotism and support this country’s development, a mere good political leader can’t even do anything.
Hahahaaaa, when your mother is dead and you keep telling people she's asleep, when mothers are sending food to their children we will know who goes to bed hungry. This is exactly what is happening in Ghana currently. People took advantage of the Covid 19 pandemic to loot thinking that it will be impossible for anyone to tell them to account for every pesewa spent, after all who knows the number of people who were fed during the lockdown in Accra and Kumasi. Today you have amassed as much as you can but the very people whose interest you claim to serve are suffering like never before. What some of these politicians forget is that yes, you can take advantage of your privileged position to take what belongs to all, but you can't guarantee the sustainability of ill gotten wealth. At your various ages what again do you want plenty money for, oh to save enough for your children to the disadvantaged other other people's children? But for the daylight state capture by a few inward looking, selfish, greedy, and good for nothing individuals, how can a country with a manageable population of 30 million endowed with cocoa, timber, bauxite, manganese, vast arable lands, two giant harbours, crude oil and a vibrant youthful population be begging from others to manage the economy . Identify the richest country in the world, send Ghana's politicians to manage that country, now bring their politicians to manage Ghana, bet me in less than 10 the Ghanaian politicians will come back to their own country to beg for a loan. Ghana's problem is not about the lack of or inadequate resources, it's about lack of selfless leadership. We are yet to get a leader. It's like they have all come to understand that nobody can solve Ghana's challenges so just try to convince the people, get power from them and then also come in, grab your share and go. Maybe it's the prayers of Ghanaians that has kept the country going, left to these crooks called politicians Ghana would ceased to exist long ago. Seriously speaking Ghana currently do not have a economy to even talk of managing it, is everyone for him/ herself, God for us all. When you deceive people to succeed, don't think they are ***barred word***, they only gave you a trust you don't deserve.
